We are delighted to share our new promotional film! 🚀 Thanks to Senior Prefect, Zach (6.2, J), for leading this glimpse into Radley life. Under the guidance of Max Horsey, the boys of Radley Video shot most of the film this term, working hard to capture beautiful footage of the College in action. We hope you enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed making it.

Mo Driver has been part of our Catering Team for 14 years. Born near Kyoto in Japan, Mo worked in sales for a housing company during the housing bubble of the 90s, but quickly realised it wasn’t for her. She dreamed of being a voice actor and worked in a coffee shop to earn a living whilst auditioning for roles. There, she met her husband, one of her customers, and they moved to Oxford together in 1998. 🇯🇵 In the latest edition of #MyRadley, Mo tells us about her journey from Kyoto to Common Room and how Sir Anthony Hopkins’ performance in The Remains of the Day inspired her to apply for the job at Radley. 👉 https://lnkd.in/esFs4WUG

The latest edition of The Radleian is now available to read. In his introduction, the Warden reflects on the history of this publication which was first printed in 1866: "I suspect the editorial team of the mid-19th century would be confused to read about our outstanding Symphonic Pops concert, the new state-of-the-art telescope, and even a play written by a female don, but there is much they would recognise and be proud of too." 🎨 Brush Strokes Through Time 🎤 Boys Don't Sing? 📝 Serpentes Essay Prize 💫 Aurora Borealis at Radley 👉 https://lnkd.in/etAGyS6t

Radley has benefited from a long history of philanthropy right back to our very foundation. We are proud of our funded places programme, which supports 25 talented boys at Radley for free, and 95 on partial funding. With your help, we can provide a means-tested free place for 10% of all Radleians and offer partial funding to 150-200 more. As a community, we can do great things. Together, donations of less than £50 have raised more than £500,000; 10 years of a Radley education. Donate now. Together, we can make a difference. https://lnkd.in/eD9rB4pb

We are proud to be recognised as an outstanding school for boys, but we also strive to be an outstanding employer. Fortunately, our staff regularly tell us that we are! 🙏🏼 More than 500 people work at Radley and our operational team is full of skilled people who work hard, give their all and have fun, all to support the education of our boys. In this new film, produced to support our ops staff recruitment, we asked some of our team why they love working at Radley. ❤️

Sepehr joined Radley in the Sixth Form in September 2022. Born and raised in Iran, his family moved to the UK after his father became a political refugee. His Form Master, Mr Oliver Choroba said of him: "One rarely has the pleasure to meet a man such as Sepehr. It is impossible to overstate the impact he has had on the College and his peers." It was no surprise that Sepehr became Second Prefect in his final year and he is now pursuing a medical degree at Sheffield. Thank you, Sep, for sharing your story with us. 🥰

We spent the last academic year having a digital 'conversation'. We are grateful to those parents who took part in focus groups and to the boys who have done the same. We have been very encouraged by the positive and thoughtful responses. Inevitably, views varied; this is a challenging, yet important topic. We have made some changes to our digital policies that we think will make a positive difference. Our conversation played out against a national discussion on the same theme. It continues to do so and we are committed to the conversation being ongoing here as well. We will continue to monitor our policies and to help and encourage boys to develop ways both to maximise benefit and mitigate risk when it comes to their digital habits. As part of that, there will be further discussion groups later in the year. To outline these changes, John Moule will lead a roundtable discussion with senior colleagues as part of our Talking Heads webinar series for parents, tonight (Wednesday 18th September) at 6:30pm. The registration link is available in the comments.

On the first day of Music Flood Week - our annual celebration of music - Joe (R, J Social) returned to his old primary school in Abingdon to deliver an Inspirational Assembly. We captured him arriving, leading the session and talking to the spellbound children afterwards. 💫 There are few things more special than watching boys grow in confidence at Radley, but this video evidences the joy of music and the important role it plays in personal development and wellbeing. Congratualtions, Joe. We are very proud of you. 🤩

Mosese came to Radley in September 2022. A talented sportsman and committed academic, his place at Radley is supported by donors to the Radley Foundation. 🤝 In the latest edition of the Radley Foundation’s Impact Report, his parents Owen and Telesia told us about their experiences as part of the College community. However, we wanted to hear from Mosese himself. We hope you enjoy this powerful film featuring a wonderful young man. ❤️ 👉 https://lnkd.in/eWFS7SxM
