RRT supported 1,000 construction workers during Mental Health Week, assisted 100 abseilers raising money for charity, served meals to the superheroes participating in Ashgate Hospice’s Superhero Walk, and much more! #rrtcares #october

On October 19th, volunteers from RRT in Tunbridge Wells supported a fundraising event organised by the MTW Charity at Tunbridge Hospital. RRT served 200 burger meals and refreshments to hospital staff and their families. Today’s Autumn Statement confirms the UK’s ongoing £3 billion support for Ukraine. At RRT, we know this commitment is crucial, however with public awareness being equally essential. Our recent polling shows 57% of Brits support aid to Ukraine, yet 54% feel “news fatigue” and dwindling interest in the crisis. RRT Chesterfield partnered with Ashgate Hospice Charity on October 19th to raise crucial funds for patients with life-limiting illnesses. This community event not only featured themed activities and entertainment but also aimed to support hospice care directly. Our volunteers served 1,000 meals to those taking part! #rrtcares

JESIP Course To help improve the team’s skills and knowledge when attending multi-agency callouts and Major Incidents, two more team members attended the JESIP operational Commander’s Course. (Joint Emergency Services Interoperability Programme) recently. As well as up-skilling two more team members, it offered a valuable networking opportunity with the statutory emergency services and other responding organisations from around the region.
