About us

REAlab is a sector-leading training provider and collaboration enhancer helping Higher Education institutions, not-for-profit organisations and business partners to co-create innovative solutions to real world business challenges. Since 2014, REAlab has worked with Universities and Doctoral Training Partnerships to deliver Knowledge Exchange programmes that offer professional training, coaching and funded opportunities to interdisciplinary teams of doctoral and post-doctoral researchers looking to deliver high-quality research consultancy projects in collaboration with public, private and third-sector organisations. The programme offers business partners unprecedented access to the most innovative doctoral research skills, methods and expertise to address societal challenges in areas such as education, health, sustainable development, community engagement, digital engagement, inclusive technology and financial services. Since 2019 REAlab has collaborated with the University of Manchester to deliver the ESRC-funded Collaboration Labs programme, which has delivered a diverse array of successful research collaborations for major cultural partners, not-for-profit organisations and SMEs, such as the British Library, Tate Liverpool, The British School of Rome, LGBT Foundation, Tom Fleming Consulting and Reply, among many others.
