I was shortlisted for the everywoman Technology Award in the AI Champion Category, alongside seven exceptional female professionals, one of whom won the Woman of the Year award. During my Award interview, the questions from the judges prompted me to reflect on my journey, the challenges, milestones, and motivations that kept me going. I realised how much of my work has been about finding small but meaningful ways to create impact, whether by inspiring one person at a time or contributing to a larger project. Being recognised as an AI Champion in such a fast-evolving field is both an honour and a responsibility. This recognition has reinforced that every small effort counts. Every step, no matter how small, contributes to shaping the future of AI and ensuring it serves society for the better. It was a privilege to deliver this Mental Health Awareness for Managers session with such an engaged and thoughtful group at Redgate Software. Mental health conversations in the workplace are no longer a ‘nice to have’—they are essential.
