  • What's the difference between a landscape review and an HTA review? Possibly lots, and maybe nothing at all. Ultimately the name’s not important. It’s the challenge that it solves and how you’ll use the information to drive success.   • Quite rightly there's an increasing emphasis on effective use of real-world evidence as part of a robust evidence generation plan for achieving reimbursement in rare diseases. But navigating the landscape can be challenging. 🗺️ Acceptability of evidence differs across global bodies 📊 Expectations are higher now for pharma to systematically identify and analyse data ⌨️ Finding and accessing relevant databases can be challenging ⚖️ Understanding the priority weighting for RWE compared with other potential evidence sources Frameworks - such as NICE's real-world evidence framework - help set guardrails for robust evidence generation that has a better probability of being considered impactful for decision making. But sometimes there's no substitute for speaking to the agencies directly. In 2022, CADTH started considering early advice projects that focused more on real-world evidence. The case study below shows how we supported one of our clients take their therapy through one of the first (possibly 𝘵𝘩𝘦 first) advice processes with CADTH, in a joint dialogue process with NICE.     Absolutely delighted to welcome Liz Watts to the redthread team as our new Head of Writing. Liz has stellar value communications expertise, and has held communications and leadership roles across top agencies for the last 13 years. With over 13 years' market access and reimbursement expertise, working at global, regional and UK levels, we're looking forward to Liz helping to drive forwards of communications support at redthread. While Liz has a wealth of experience in strategy and writing across a variety of market access deliverables, she has a particular interest in global value communications, including core value dossiers, value propositions and objection handling. She'll also bring her HTA submission, treatment pathway and stakeholder analysis expertise to our clients. Based on the south coast, Liz has also now extended the mileage we'll need to cover for our next Marching for March event, where we walk, virtually, the distance between our flexible working locations. So we'll need to lace up those trainers extra tight next March. We're absolutely delighted Liz has chosen to join the redthread team, and she's already providing her expertise and insights for our clients.
