Enabling clients to create a workforce of the future through a more integrated and strategic approach to total talent.

About us

RedWizard is a company on a mission to enable their clients to create a workforce of the future through a more integrated and strategic approach to total talent management. As a pioneering women-owned business from the UK, RedWizard has been a driving force in the world of contingent workforce transformation for the past decade. In 2017 the company achieved a significant milestone when it was engaged to develop a groundbreaking PMO solution for a $1billion global talent programme. This solution successfully united the client's contingent workforce suppliers under a common brand, data strategy and ways of working; greatly simplifying management of the programme and the user journey to engaging the talent they needed. This innovative approach was recognized with a finalist position at the prestigious PMI PMO of the Year Awards in the UK in 2019 and laid the groundwork for development of “Concerto”, their proprietary framework developed to help synchronise efforts across business functions; enabling them to accelerate their journey towards total talent management. Fast forward to 2024 and they have an impressive and diverse portfolio of successful case studies encompassing services that range from development of tools to support the compliant engagement of contingent workers, to dedicated programmes that work to build deeper connections with key suppliers; to better support the changing needs of a business. Their latest offering is a comprehensive educational programme, Educate2Enable, designed to support HR/People managers and line managers of contingent workers to engage compliantly, integrate temporary workers successfully into their teams and enjoy improved partnerships with talent suppliers. Jools and her team don't work alone; they are at the heart of their own agile business ecosystem. By fostering strong partnerships and collaborations, RedWizard can offer a comprehensive suite of solutions that address the diverse needs to any client.

“The reality is, the majority of programmes in businesses struggle on quite a granular, basic level to deliver data insights on the active, real-time contingent workforce.” How does your business build a clear picture of its contingent workforce? Many organisations find themselves unable to answer fundamental questions: How many contractors do we currently have? What specific skills are represented? Where are they located? What projects are they working on? This lack of real-time, accurate data hampers decision-making and strategic workforce planning. The inability to capture and analyse this information effectively can lead to: ⚙️ Inefficient resource allocation 📋 Compliance risks 💸 Missed opportunities for cost savings 🔍 Difficulties in skills gap analysis 📊 Challenges in performance tracking and quality control Are you grappling with these challenges in managing your contingent workforce data? Get in touch with one of our team at RedWizard today. Our experts can help you unlock the power of your workforce data, driving informed decision-making. #RedWizard #Datasolutions #Contingentworkforce Jools Barrow-Read Colin Yoshioka-Smith Laura Handley

As a follow up from our webinar last week with The HR World, here's some more considerations about Total Talent Management that come from the Government's latest initiatives. 🏢 Attention HR Leaders: UK Labour Reforms to Reshape Total Talent Management Established businesses must prepare for significant shifts in workforce management: • New Fair Work Agency will scrutinize practices across all worker categories • Potential 'Right to Switch Off' could impact productivity strategies for remote and contingent workers • Expanded pay gap reporting may require data from your entire talent ecosystem • Reviews of leave systems could affect availability of your flexible workforce These changes demand a holistic review of your Total Talent Strategy. How will you maintain workforce flexibility while ensuring compliance and fairness across all worker types? RedWizard has over 10-years’ experience in helping global clients implement and manage their contingent labour programmes. Got a problem? The Art of Onboarding Non-Employee Workers Effective onboarding is crucial for all workers, but RedWizard’s Educate2Enable (E2E) Programme highlights key considerations when onboarding non-employee workers. The goal is to set these workers up for success while maintaining appropriate boundaries. The Programme emphasizes the importance of a structured onboarding process that covers essential elements without overstepping. This includes providing crucial health and safety information, explaining relevant company policies and procedures, and offering role-specific training. It's also important to introduce team members and key contacts, and ensure access to necessary systems and equipment. However, the E2E Programme cautions against practices that could blur the lines between non-employees and regular staff. For instance, avoid including non-employees in discussions about employee benefits, or engaging in performance management processes. One innovative approach  is making use of  digital onboarding tools tailored for non-employee workers. These can provide consistent, compliant onboarding experiences while allowing for flexibility in timing and location. The programme also stresses the importance of clear communication about the temporary nature of the engagement and the specific scope of work. This helps set appropriate expectations from the start. Ultimately, the goal is to create an onboarding experience that quickly integrates non-employee workers into their roles while maintaining clear distinctions from the regular employee experience. 💡 What innovative onboarding practices have you implemented for non-employee workers? 💡 How do you balance the need for quick integration with maintaining appropriate boundaries? Do you get stuck at knowing what you can and can't do with non-employee labour? You need RedWizard's Educate2Enable programme https://lnkd.in/dmXT66eN #OnboardingBestPractices #ContingentWorkforce

The Complexities of Worker Classification In today's dynamic labour market, understanding worker classifications is crucial for effective workforce management. In the UK, for instance, workers fall into three employment categories: 🏷️Employees (Limb A), 🏷️Workers (Limb B), and 🏷️Self-Employed. Each classification carries different rights and obligations, both for the worker and the engaging organization. The distinction isn't always clear-cut, often depending on factors such as the degree of control over work, mutuality of obligation, and the right of substitution. These classifications are currently being reviewed by the new government with a view to removing the worker category – watch this space! Misclassification can have serious consequences. In 2022, Uber faced a $100 million penalty for incorrectly classifying drivers as independent contractors. This case underscores the importance of getting classification right. So at RedWizard, we developed our Educate2Enable Learning Hub, which emphasizes that classification isn't just about ticking boxes on a form. It requires a holistic assessment of the working relationship. Workforce managers, must stay vigilant and regularly review their company’s classification practices to ensure compliance and fairness.
