Experts in cancer support. Affordable cancer-specialist services for employers and employees.
About us
As leaders in #cancersupport, we’re wholly invested in delivering better outcomes from cancer for people and business. We were founded in 2012 to provide holistic cancer support services for those diagnosed with cancer and their carers. Our experienced team of case managers, cancer nurse specialists and mental health first aiders work alongside health providers to help people navigate their entire journey more easily. We do this by providing a dedicated team that coaches, connects and supports people on all the moments that matter. Helping them to understand their options and feel confident about managing their health and wellbeing every day. Our holistic cancer support service helps large employers provide the best possible care for their employees when they need it most. In turn, reduces the cost impact of critical illness to business, mitigates the ripple effect and minimises noise among your workforce. We do this by equipping business leaders to handle cancer proactively and sensitively, whilst empowering employees to keep working for longer and return to work sooner. We also partner with health insurers to provide 1-on-1 specialist support and continuity through the entirety of the cancer journey. Enabling insurers to not only enhance their proposition and customer engagement, but also better understand cancer pathways and the external factors that influence people’s outcomes.

Thank you Suzy Bashford✨ and particularly Sharron Moffatt (MHFA®/ACSM) for sharing her story. Cancer support is complex and many HR teams and managers find it difficult to deal with. Sensitive conversations, reasonable adjustments and flexible working are important but taking the time to really understand what's needed to support someone who wants to continue or return to work is crucial in so many ways.
🍄Adding creativity to comms🖊️Writer 🦜Speaker 👟Trainer 🎙️Podcaster 🍑Campaigner4Creativity 🧠destigmatising mental health
It's really easy on World Mental Health Day for employers to write social media posts about how committed they are to challenging stigma and caring about their employees' wellbeing. But it's much harder to ACT to challenge stigma. This conversation I had with Sharron Moffatt (MHFA®/ACSM), who is living and working with cancer, really made me think - colleagues judging her for either being 'too sick looking' or 'not sick enough looking' really hits home that we still have a long way to go in changing our attitudes to less judgmental ones. Maybe this Mental Health Day we could stop writing posts about how much we care about the mental health of others and actually have a meaningful conversation with a colleague about theirs, which doesn't make them feel judged or less than/not enough? What do you think? Link to article in comments Reframe Cancer #workingwithcancer #difficultconversations #cancer
