Timing is everything when it comes to securing investment. As Jim often says, ‘Most investors aren’t in a hurry!’ That’s why it’s important to plan early, avoid the last-minute scramble, and seek investment before you actually need it. At Regionally Ventures, we help businesses secure the capital they need to scale. Drop Jim Odell a message if we can help your business, too. https://lnkd.in/eN-tRp4h #investment #funding #angelinvestors #regionalfunding #regionallyway

If you are raising investment this autumn and are discussing using SAFEs and convertible loan notes with angels, institutions and other investors, make sure you download the funding guide below ( it says UK but Irish appropriate). It outlines how these instruments can be part of a wider funding round and the key considerations a founder should make. Posting on entrepreneurship and growth | Exited founder | Mum of 4 | Building community @ Female Founders Rise | Speaker
Women could add £250 BN to economy If they were given the opportunities and support to set up and grow businesses at the same rate as men. Will the UK government finally get itself together and enable this massive growth for the economy? > The new 'Invest in Women Taskforce' aims to close the gender funding gap by funneling £250M into women-led businesses This follows similar projects, including the Alison Rose Review of Female Entrepreneurship and the women-led high-growth enterprise taskforce. It's still not clear what impact those have had as the funding towards women has barely moved (I heard it even fell the first half of the year - need to get that data) Just a little reminder that women-led startups are a better bet > They deliver great ROI > Diverse teams perform better > We need them in our economy. ♻️ Please repost to spread the word Crossing all my fingers that this new initiative will be one of the many things that are going to move the needle in the right direction (led by some great women so that's fantastic!) But we need more than that - we need change and support in many areas. Follow Emmie Faust for more on female entrepreneurship And Female founders join 7K others our mission Female Founders Rise PS. I'm still amazed at how many organisations contact me to ask how they can support female founders and the minute money is mentioned they have no budget 🤔
