Our latest research uncovers concerning differences in the cost of treatments. The cost of patients' most recent treatment ranged from £5,000 to £13,000, with an average expenditure of £11,950. Notably, patients who received self-funded treatment at NHS facilities reported an average cost of £6,990, while those treated in private clinics faced higher costs, averaging £12,977. What does reliable information look like? In our latest research brief, we asked fertility patients across the UK how they research add-ons. We discovered that patients often rely on multiple sources of information including search engines (87.8%), clinic websites (75.4%) social networks (53.1%). However, their trust in these sources varies significantly. While most respondents deemed fertility clinic website reliable, only a quarter (26.3%) considered social networks as a reliable source of info.
