Came through unscathed after spending the morning talking about careers in the digital and creative industries to 180 Yr 7 - 9 students at Abbey Park School. For the second year running I seemed to miss my youngest child, I'm not sure if that was the work of the school, or him requesting his dad didn't take his class. The feedback appears that I gave the most engaging and interesting talk. Must have been the 3D Animation, AR and VR demonstrations that clinched it The subject was "How Computer Graphics effects our every lives" from Sprite Graphics and Super Mario to breakout technologies like Render Engines in Doom all the way up to Call of Duty with Unity & Unreal Engine with the Mandalorian on Disney+ I'm working on packaging up the presentation and placing it here for people to download with extra notes and the anecdotal comments that the students loved.
