Experts in heat pumps and heat networks

About us

Rendesco is the UK’s leading clean energy tech developer and operator, focusing on the electrification of heat using heat pumps and heat networks to decarbonise Britain’s buildings. We design, install, and manage clean heat solutions which transfer heat from below the surface of the Earth to provide homes and buildings with sustainable heat and hot water. We currently own and manage over 70 ground source networks and provide heat to more than 3,000 homes in the UK. Since launching in 2012, we have developed a unique and highly efficient solution for decarbonising homes and buildings. Each property we serve saves 18 tonnes of Co2 compared to a gas boiler and three tonnes of Co2 compared to an air source heat pump. We have curated a team of 30 highly-technical experts, merging experience from the investment, property, construction and renewable energy industries to create a unique business model and deliver a solution to the UK’s clean heat challenge. Heat networks need technical know-how and we have the most experience - and the best reputation - in the UK. To find out more and get in touch, click the link to our website above.

  • 🌟 Happy International Women's Day! 🌟   It's a pleasure to be marking this day with our incredible colleagues at Rendesco, who are driving innovation and sustainability.   Our team are committed to advancing renewable energy solutions that combat climate change and promote environmental stewardship, to make a cleaner greener future for all. Let's hear from some of the amazing women we have working with us as they share their tips for #AcceleratingAction: Zoe Phillips our Business Development Manager says 'My role at Rendesco allows me to use my background in STEM to contribute towards meaningful change in an exciting and innovating industry. I hope this International Women's day will encourage more women to get involved. Let's doubly Accelerate Action by bringing our voices to the energy transition solution!"   Izzy (Arno) Lister our HR & Recruitment Advisor says "On International Women's Day, at Rendesco we reflect on the ongoing challenges women face across various fields, including engineering. Despite the vital role engineering plays in shaping our future, women have historically been underrepresented, making up only 10-20% of the workforce! Often, female graduates still do not pursue careers in engineering, due to gender stereotypes and educational environments that don't meet their needs or aspirations." As we celebrate International Women's Day, we want to highlight the importance of raising awareness about engineering as a viable career for women and encouraging youth, particularly young women, to study STEM subjects. It's a reminder that we still have much work to do to create an inclusive and supportive environment for women in these fields, ensuring that future generations of women are empowered to shape the world around them"   Together, we are empowering more women to lead and aim to inspire the next generation of change-makers.   #IWD2025 #WomenInRenewableEnergy #womeninmalefields #womeninstem #Sustainability #Empowerment #Rendesco

  • Yesterday at Rendesco we celebrated World Engineering Day and the theme of this year's celebration is "Unleashing the power of engineers to advance the Sustainable Development Goals". As our industry experiences a major shortage of engineers across all disciplines, we're future-proofing our pipeline of talent in the renewable industry and focusing on developing engineers in house. Umar Ahmad CEng joined us as Head of Engineering earlier this year and holds significant experience in developing early talent in Engineering, he said: "I'm pleased to be able to help Rendesco continue to encourage new talent into the Engineering Industry. Engineering is not about striving for perfection, it's about pushing for continuous improvement. Nothing embodies this more than developing young engineers and talent within our industry. Young engineers not only are the future, but they are building our future. At Rendesco, that future is one built around renewables, technology and offering low carbon solutions to all, whilst encouraging new talent into the engineering industry and careers in STEM." Last week's Careers Fair was a huge success, with over 25 different organisations speaking to our students about career and training opportunities in their sector. A huge thank you to all of our visitors for giving up your time, and an even bigger thank you to Director of Careers, Laura Snow, for pulling it all together. We even had a few of our own alumni representing BridgePort Financial Services and the Civil Service. We're especially grateful to these long-standing partners who have supported Paddington with careers events, mentoring and work experience placements for many years: Great Western Railway (GWR) Network Rail Oaklin Queen Mary University of London Spencer Stuart #westminstercitylions Westminster City Council #careers #careersfair #careerinspiration

  • We’re delighted to share a progress update from the Welborne UK project, where we're building the largest ambient heat network of its kind in the UK. Our team is busy leveraging our extensive design and build knowledge to construct the network ready for adoption by our partner Last Mile, taking advantage of a high-quality heat source provided by a nearby Portsmouth Water reservoir. The initial section of network is operational, and the first plot connections are due very soon, ultimately delivering heat to thousands of homes!
