It's been great having Jeevan Singh Sagoo train with us at our Cotswold airport hangar. Good luck with your future and becoming a qualified engineer. #Engineer #Apprenticeship #Aircraft #Aviation
First year ✅ Today marks one year into my journey of becoming a fully qualified aircraft engineer... Looking back, I am forever grateful for what I have achieved. From starting my initial phase at the BSA - British School of Aviation, to spending 2 and a bit months away from base at the Resource Group - Training hangar in the Cotswolds, it's been an intense yet unforgettable time. Meeting new people from the likes of DHL Air (UK) Ltd, British Airways and more, emphasised the strong, team-spirited atmosphere that surrounds the aircraft engineering sector, and how that makes the job more enjoyable! During the summer period, I gained an insight into how the hangar operates. Visits to various departments such as supply-chain, project-planning and power-plants (engines) demonstrated the importance of the broader engineering team. I also had the chance to spend some time in the airframe workshop, where I observed and took part in various metalwork activities. The specialized workers that are based here are equipped with priceless levels of skill and precision to conduct their work- much taken for granted! Amongst all of that, I have loved being involved with opportunities to promote and represent TUI at programmes and events such as the Springpod work experience programme and the Young Professionals Black Heritage evening in London. Another highlight was having the opportunity to introduce the TUI MPL cadet pilots into Hangar 61 back in March, a day that signified the relevance of understanding all the parts to an organisation, and how they fit together to form the bigger picture. In summary, the knowledge, skills and support I have gained makes me eager to start the next phase of my course, working on live aircraft in the TUI Airways hangar at London Luton Airport. ✈️🛠️ #tui #aircraft #engineering #apprenticeship #livehappy #tuicareers #travelindustry #diversityandinclusion #planes #career #learning #aviation #maintenance #engineer

Do you have authorisation from your maintenance organisation to release Engines, APU and components under the EASA Part-145 approval? As part of the User Guide, Foreign EASA Part-145 organisations are now required to demonstrate that their Component Certifying Staff have received EASA Part-66 Module 9 (Human Factors) and Module 10 (Aviation Legislation) training to Cat B1/B2 level. This is a one-off training requirement, rather than a course that individuals need to repeat regularly. Congratulations to Leif M. for completing his Safety Training & Human Factors course. If you would like to purchase this course, visit: https://lnkd.in/e-Vne9F2 #HumanFactors #SafetyTraining #eLearning #AviationTraining
It's always good to freshen up knowledge on Human Factors. My most recent HF learning opportunity was undertaking 'Safety Training & Human Factors,' developed by Resource Group - Training. It was a timely reminder of the importance in understanding how to maximise the potential of people in our operations and making sure we consider the working environment from different angles. For those new to the industry, Human Factors training is critical to understand how errors can occur in a workplace. Over the decades incidents have proportionally grown in relation to Human Error. I am really enjoying working with my local team at Bombardier's Melbourne Service Centre on improving our work environment. We've recently adjusted our rosters to get a better life balance and are looking at new intiatives to safely enhance the quality of service to our customers.
