RGE Group is a trade injection moulder, specialising in precision plastic injection moulding, tooling and product design
About us
RGE Group is a World Class manufacturer of plastic injection moulded components, injection moulded tooling and plastic design. The RGE group can offer a unique turnkey approach to producing plastic parts that takes a concept, through detailed plastic engineering design, plastic injection moulding tooling design and into mass production. RGE plastic products include office furniture, components for office chairs, desking, nylon chair bases, structural office chair seats, office chair backs, turnkey office chair kits and a variety of household and electrical industries. RGE has core design and engineering skill in the area of metal to plastic conversion where components have reached a price point and volume that require a steel or die cast aluminium component to be manufactured in plastic. This allows greater design freedom, higher capacity and of course competitive prices by converting to a polymer base design suitable for injection moulding.

No project is too big or too small for RGE! Whilst we are home to the largest injection moulding machines in the UK, RGE are also capable of producing smaller sized components. With a clamp force range of 25 to 3150 tonnes, we are able to take on varied and complex projects with a range of different requirements. Our Baltic site is currently manufacturing and assembling small plastic components used in the construction of blinds. The site in Lithuania was established in 2007, and is currently home to over 60 injection moulding machines, with more on their way. The factory is also capable of producing 2k mouldings and overmouldings. Polyurethane (PU) moulding is a process in which liquid polyurethane material, also known as resin, is heated to create strong and accurate parts and components. The process begins with the mixing of the liquid polyurethane with a catalyst, which is then poured into a mould. The mould is then closed and heated to a specific temperature, which causes the liquid to cure and harden into the shape of the mould. Once the polyurethane has hardened, the mould is opened and the part is able to be removed. The process creates high quality parts which are strong, long-lasting, and resistant to wear and tear. Polyurethane is incredibly versatile, and can be formed into many different shapes and sizes, as well as colours and textures to meet the application’s needs. It is a very stable material that is not prone to shrinkage or distortion, allowing very accurate mouldings to be made. Over the past 6 years, RGE have used PU moulding to create soft touch arm pads and foam seats in-house at our facility in Lithuania to supply our customers around the world. We are also able use PU moulding to create specific customer products and components. Our very own range of returnable transit packaging is used within our factories in the UK and Lithuania to store and transport the plastic injection moulded components that we produce. Plastic pallet collars are designed to last longer than any wooden or cardboard alternatives, and can be used time and time again until they are ready to be broken down and recycled into new plastic products at the end of their lives. Unlike single trip packaging, RGE's plastic pallet collars are built to last and can be used on an ongoing basis, ensuring that companies comply with packaging and waste regulations, and reduce their carbon footprint. We are able to offer our range of returnable transit packaging made from recycled material, along side our standard recyclable range. Using pad printing, we are able to apply company logos to our plastic injection moulded components as part of the additional services that we are able to offer. Here, the logo is cleanly applied to a plastic USB at our factory in Whittlesey. Detailed markings, usage instructions, and even graphics can be applied to cooled components using computer-controlled pad printing (tampography), which offers a premium finish to any product. Take a look at a fully automated cell, producing a steel frame clad pallet at our factory in Whittlesey. The cell currently runs 24 hours a day, 5 days a week. Firstly, a 6 axis robot picks and places all the individual parts between a frame press. Vibration welding is then used to encapsulate the frame within the plastic parts, which ensures a specified watertight weld. The pallet is then transferred for CNC routing to remove any excess weld, and to meet the tight tolerances required by the customer. Final finishings take place as corner shock absorbers and trackers are fitted by hand prior to the pallet's release into commercial stock. Find out more about the additional services that we are able to offer at our Whittlesey site alongside our injection moulding capabilities, and get in touch today to discuss your project requirements: https://lnkd.in/eRbgjZDU #plasticinjectionmoulding #robot #vibrationwelding #automated #automatedassembly #CNC

Two of our new 750T machines are currently being used to produce chair bases at our factory in Lithuania. The upgraded machines are capable of producing parts at a much faster and more efficient rate, and mark the first part of a series of upgrades at our Baltic site, with 11 more new machines due to arrive. RGE offers a buy back service, designed to provide a solution for the waste of old plastic products, such as plastic crates and other bulk plastic stock. We buy your old and used plastic stock, to be granulated at our Regrind Centre, allowing us to mould products from more sustainable alternatives to virgin plastics, and in turn, prevent plastics from unnecessarily ending up in landfill.
