🧡 Today is World Mental Health Day - an important reminder of the significance of mental health in all aspects of our lives. When we prioritise mental health in the workplace, we create a supportive space where everyone can reach their full potential. Members can join two LionHeart RICS webinars today. The first, at 10.30am BST, is designed to help managers and colleagues spot when someone is struggling, how to start conversations around mental health and how to promote good self-care in and out of work. The second, at 2pm BST, is an opportunity to hear from LionHeart ambassadors - Subjit Jassy, Stuart Howison, Kiran Dhillon FRICS, MCIOB, BSc and Owen Gower – as they share their experiences of mental health and the surveying profession in particular. Within RICS, our staff Mental Health Network and volunteer mental health first aiders provide support for colleagues when they need it. Today is a good reminder that talking openly about the importance of protecting our mental health removes stigma in the workplace. When we all feel able to prioritise our mental health, we can all thrive. Find out more about today’s webinars from LionHeart here: http://ms.spr.ly/6043mI2oz

Have you used our Whole life carbon assessment (WLCA) implementation guides? The International Energy Agency (IEA) has cited RICS' WLCA Global harmonisation guide in it's recent Breakthrough Agenda Report 2024. We're pleased to see the guide recognised as a positive step in developing common guidelines for international collaboration. The Breakthrough Agenda is an initiative developed by the IEA, UN Climate Change High-Level Climate Champions, and the Marrakech Partnership. Its latest report references the guide in a dedicated chapter on buildings, noting it among key progress made to advance WLCAs and help create resilient buildings. Have a look at our implementation guides to learn how you can carry out consistent and accurate carbon measurements ☟ http://ms.spr.ly/6048mI2e4 #CountingCarbon #Surveying
