Another fantastic Yealmpton show, beautiful weather and a great crowd all day. A real surprise for us was to win a rosette for our trade stand! Although we attend as a business, I have always felt that these shows are an important community get together and a time to inspire younger people by what they see and experience. Our remote control forklift challenge had over a hundred operators aged from 2 to 72, including some pretty competitive family’s! This week has been all about novice forklift training (and cats!). We have had the new Maximal AB25 fitted with Li-ion battery pack to use, it’s certainly an impressive machine with a huge battery life and very easy maintenance. Our instructors have been busy this month, travelling all over the West Country to deliver quality accredited training to our loyal customers, the Mini’s have certainly been clocking up the miles! We've had a real variety of training, including 360 Materials Re-Handler in Cornwall, Forklift and Pallet Stacker in Devon, and Overhead Crane in Somerset. This week, we completed Vehicle Banksman training for a large materials manufacturer. While some may not take this course seriously, I find it to be an interesting one to teach, especially because it is largely practical. This week, our trainee instructors have been hard at work honing their skills in preparing and presenting practical and theory lessons. They have been putting their knowledge to the test by learning how to set up a novice forklift test in a rather restricted area and guiding a trainee through the test. Another year, another successful accreditation visit from the Independent Training Standards Scheme and Register (ITSSAR)! We are thrilled to announce that we passed with no advisories, thanks to our exceptional team of instructors here at Right On Training. However, it is with a heavy heart that we bid farewell to Instructor Luke, who is leaving us to focus on his family. Luke has been an invaluable asset to our team and has proven himself time and time again as an outstanding instructor. We will miss him greatly, but we wish him all the best in his new career path. We are already halfway through the BRITTOp instructors course, and our candidates have been putting in some serious work!
