Based in Bridgwater, we have proudly served the South West of England and Wales for over 80 years. About You You’ll bring previous HR experience, strong organisational and communication skills and the ability to deal sympathetically and constructively with a wide range of stakeholders. About the Role You’ll take ownership of the employee lifecycle, including: ✅ Onboarding of new team members ✅ Conducting pre-employment checks, maintaining HR files and completion of leavers paperwork ✅ Managing absence, disciplinaries, grievances and sickness Responsibilities You’ll play a pivotal role in the Group’s growth by recruiting employees, managing training and promoting apprenticeships. This certification reinforces our commitment to leading by example and ensuring the highest health and safety standards throughout our group of businesses. 🛠️ API Appointed Persons Our SHEQ Manager Phillip Witchell, has passed the API Appointed Persons training, enhancing our ability to safely manage lifting operations. Phillip’s expertise ensures we remain compliant with industry standards while prioritising the safety of our workforce. 🚜 IPAF Training for Cherry Picker and Scissor Lift Our Transport Manager Kevin Horrill, Yardman Lee Briffett and Lorry Driver James Fowler from the Plant Department have completed the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) training. This certification ensures that our team is fully equipped to safely and efficiently operate powered access equipment. 💻 Digital Leadership Course Glenith Eades has completed a Digital Leadership course delivered by Cosmic UK at the Civil Engineering Contractors Association (National) (CECA-South West) offices. This course has developed a strategic understanding of how technology including AI and automation drives innovation, improve decision-making and enhance productivity within our group of businesses. It's our brand new Komatsu PW148-11 Wheeled Excavator (14T Duck) heading straight to Hinkley Point C! This state-of-the-art machine is designed to enhance the efficiency and safety of our operations. Featuring a 2-piece boom, joystick steering and auto-lube functionality, the Komatsu excavator is a highly capable & versatile machine that will help us deliver quality services at the HPC site.
