Today is World Mental Health Day 🧠🌍 This year's theme, chosen by the World Federation of Mental Health, is Workplace Mental Health. Did you know that poor mental health in the workplace is more common than many realise? Whether it’s an existing condition or stressors directly tied to the job, millions of people struggle with mental health at work each day. While the statistics might be alarming, they highlight something we can’t ignore: creating a mentally healthy workplace is more important than ever. We still have a long way to go in the UK and globally to break down stigma and create environments where everyone feels safe and supported. So, what does a mentally healthy workplace look like? 💚 A place that offers mental health training for staff 💚 A workplace that tackles discrimination and bullying head-on 💚 A culture where open conversations about mental health are encouraged Remember, anyone struggling with their mental health deserves a compassionate response. Workplaces should be safe spaces where people can be themselves and express when they’re not ok, without fear of judgment. While most of us love being in control the reality is that recruitment can be unpredictable, with its fair share of highs and lows. When things take a dip, it can be challenging to navigate. What helps us cope with the ups and downs? We work as a TEAM! Even though recruitment is very competitive, we make sure that we work together. This means clients receive the best. This culture is pretty unusual in the industry but we love it that way and so do our candidates. It’s easy to be hard on ourselves when things don’t go as planned but most of the time it’s beyond our control. We encourage honesty by being understanding and not getting frustrated if people’s circumstances change. We take the time to listen and care and can troubleshoot a situation before it’s too late.
