𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 #𝗔𝗨𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 We recently attended the Autodesk University Conference, gaining valuable insights into the future of AEC technology. Our Digital Platforms Lead, Adrian Worboys, representing Robert Bird Group alongside Adam Freer and Dr. Erezi Utiome, PMP from SMEC. Adrian, Adam and Erezi are all members of the SJ Group Digital Council, chaired by Paul Mullett. A discussion with Brandon LaCourciere (VP of Customer Success, ACC) highlighted plans for AI integration within key applications, CDE improvements, and optimised server response times. We also spoke with Mike Haley (SVP of Research at Autodesk) about industry trends as foundations for future innovation. Notably, Artificial Intelligence (AI) was a central theme, sparking key conversations on data ownership and associated risks for consideration. These insights will inform our strategy for digital platforms and shape our future-focused solutions. We intend to utilise this knowledge to augment the value we deliver to our clients and partners, thereby solidifying our leadership in engineering innovation and enhancing productivity throughout our projects. #AutodeskUniversity #EngineeringInnovation #RobertBirdGroup #AEC #EngineeringExcellence

𝗟𝗶𝗳𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗣𝗶𝗲𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝘁 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 Watch as our Civil Structures team help to manoeuvre a Grade II listed footbridge, built in 1914, up and out of Stroud railway station! Acting as the permanent and temporary works designer, we teamed up with John Sisk & Son Ltd and Network Rail for a delicate operation: carefully crane-lifting the footbridge’s main span into the adjacent car park, where it will be refurbished. The lift was successfully completed ahead of schedule during a weekend night closure, ensuring no disruption to passengers. We can’t wait to see the footbridge restored to its former glory. Big shout out to Thomas Baker, Zoe Alexaki, Phillip Brumby and Edward Jodrell! #RobertBirdGroup #EngineeringExcellence #Rail #CivilStructures

𝗔 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵 What an incredible two-day leadership workshop series! Thank you to our dedicated engineers and leaders from our Auckland and Wellington offices who participated with authenticity, openness, and a commitment to leadership growth. This in-house developed workshop series, with external support from the Pākeha Project and Let Me Out, brought our leadership teams together for the first time as a collective. The team-building and bonding moments were truly meaningful, highlighting the strength and potential of this group. We engaged in deep discussions around communication styles and preferences, challenged each other during team-based activities, and expanded our leadership capability awareness—all while exploring leadership through the lens of Māori culture and New Zealand’s heritage. A special thanks to Rebecca Sinclair from Pākeha Project Auckland for her wisdom, insights, and ability to guide us in consciously engaging with Te Tiriti o Waitangi in Aotearoa. Your contributions greatly enriched the experience. Excited to continue this journey of growth and collaboration!
