    When recruiting someone new for your team, it can be daunting, and there are many key factors to consider to make sure you're hiring the best person for the job. This includes both skillset, and someone who will fit into the existing team dynamics. 🙄 Here's a little food for thought for when you're recruiting... 😁 1. Skills and Qualifications - Can they demonstrate the necessary skills for the role (including technical, and softer skills). Do they also have the correct qualification required. 2. Cultural Fit - How well will the candidate integrate into the existing team and company values? Can they adapt? Do they show key qualities that will work well. 3. Attitude and Work Ethic - Is the candidate genuinely excited about the opportunity and company? What are their motivations for exploring new opportunities? Look for enthusiasm, examples of determination, teamwork, someone who enjoys continual learning etc. 4. Team Contribution and Collaboration - Are they a team player? How do they collaborate with others, resolve conflicts, and contribute to group success? Do they show emotional intelligence? e.g. They manage relationships well, showing empathy and understanding toward colleagues? 5. Growth Potential - Does the candidate have a growth mindset? Can they quickly learn new skills and adapt to changing demands? Does the candidate show the potential to grow within the organization? 6. Past Performance and Achievements - look at the candidate’s past work experience and achievements. Have they demonstrated success in similar roles or industries? Are they able to articulate their success, but also learning opportunities? 7. Salary and career alignment - Are their salary expectations in line with your salary bandings? Understand their short, and long-term career goals. Is this role/company suitable for them? There are so many other factors to consider too - but overall, recruiting someone new for your team requires balancing a wide range of factors. You want them to be able to do the role required, but with the potential for them to grow and develop. You'll want someone who's a good fit for the business, but also want to bring new skills/personalities/diversity into the team too (you don't want a team of clones!!). 😂 Hopefully this is helpful and has given you a couple of things to think about 😊 #hiring #recruitmenttips #foodforthought
