We are delighted to announce the signing of the historic Palazzo Castelluccio in Noto, Sicily. Originally built by one of the country's most influential noblemen, Marquis di Lorenzo del Castelluccio in 1782, Palazzo Castelluccio will be transformed into an elegant 31 suites comprising 50,000 square feet of meticulously restored 18th-Century architecture . Paolo Moschino and Philip Vergeylen are once again joining forces with Olga Polizzi, Deputy Chairman and Director of Design at Rocco Forte Hotels on the Palazzo’s interior design. Olga Polizzi commented "Sicily has a special place at the heart of our brand and the beautiful town of Noto is a destination in itself. The Palazzo Castelluccio is a perfect fit for us, with an inspiring history and enchanting aesthetic that tells the story of its location." Today marks the anticipated opening of Florio, the new restaurant at The Charles Hotel in Munich.  Created by Italian culinary icon and Rocco Forte Hotels Creative Director of Food Fulvio Pierangelini, the Florio concept can also be found at Villa Igiea in Sicily and Hotel de Russie in Rome. Under the vision of Olga Polizzi, Director of Design at Rocco Forte Hotels, The Charles Hotel redesigned rooms bring a fresh, vibrant new look that incorporates the shapes and colours of the surrounding Old Botanical Gardens, a centrepiece of Munich. Inspired by the verdant colours of the trees and flowers, a colour palette of moss green, warm orange and blue for the curtains, cushions and covers, has been thoughtfully chosen to reflect the hotel’s location. Olga Polizzi notes “ In collaboration with Philip Vergeylen and Paolo Moschino, we created a design that blends elegant Milanese style with the comfort and warmth one would expect in a home. The residences embody the true sense of Milan through the architecture and design, which is a complete mix of old and new. The magnificent building is classical 19th century, yet we have used contemporary elements throughout, keeping the building’s past alive through the frescos and fireplace features. I always enjoy collaborating with Paolo & Philip, who we have worked with on many occasions - they understand that comfort is as important as interesting design."
