On ST George's Day our local minster launched their appeal named "'Building Hope in the Heart of Rotherham' to raise the money it needs to develop its historic building into a cultural and creative space. RSS Rotherham was more than happy to help by gifting the slings they required to lift out a very heavy 15th century oak 'plug' from the base of the bell tower. This is turn opened the hole through which the Bishop and Canon abseiled over 45ft from the bell tower into the Minster.
