🚢 Human Factors 2024: A Successful Conclusion! 🚢 That’s a wrap on the 2024 Human Factors Conference! After an exciting and busy week, we leave with valuable insights, engaging discussions, and hands-on learning experiences. The event concluded with a visit to MARIN (Maritime Research Institute Netherlands)'s state-of-the-art Seven Oceans Simulator Centre, where attendees participated in interactive workshops such as the Bridge Design with Hardware Mockups (run by ErgoS Human Factors Engineering), Ship Layout Design in VR (MARIN), and Human Performance Measurements (MARIN; Noterik BV; Noldus Information Technology; VicarVision), alongside a tour of the Simulator Centre. Reflecting on the event, Neil Hancock, RINA's Operations Director, shared: "Delivering the RINA Human Factors Conference in partnership with MARIN at Wageningen has been an absolute privilege. Over the past three days, we've heard two outstanding keynotes, 18 brilliant presentations, and taken part in 8 open and honest panel discussions. Bringing together Human Factors experts from around the world, we’ve seen a perfect blend of established practices and innovative ideas from both seasoned professionals and promising students. A highlight was visiting MARIN’s new simulation suite to see their cutting-edge tools in action. While the conference has come to an end, this is just the beginning. We look forward to continuing to grow this vibrant community. A huge thank you to MARIN, our moderators, presenters, and all delegates for making this event such a success. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue this journey." Looking forward to the next one! 👏 #HumanFactors2024 #Innovation #RINA #MARIN #SimulationTechnology
