Our customers can now use postboxes to drop off smaller parcels and large letters and receive a proof of posting receipt, using the Royal Mail app. The process takes a couple of clicks and takes advantage of GPS and the customer’s phone’s location services to make getting proof of posting as simple as possible. A video showcasing the handy new feature is available on all Royal Mail socials. This new service enhancement has been launched as more and more customers are sending smaller parcels due to the soaring popularity of selling clothes on second-hand fashion marketplaces. A Postie with power 💪 By day, Lucy is a Postie, but in the early hours, she’s pushing weights in the world of bodybuilding. Lucy’s journey into bodybuilding began after a road accident left her with a serious knee injury, she turned to strength training for rehabilitation. What followed was a rapid rise through the bodybuilding ranks. Lucy’s dedication paid off when she won Ms. Universe in 2023 While building a title-winning body, Lucy balances the demands of being a mother, a Postie, and a champion bodybuilder. As a single mum, the flexibility of her role has enabled her to fit in early morning training, intense workouts after work, and time with her three children. On International Women’s Day, Lucy's journey is a powerful reminder of what you can achieve when you push limits, break down barriers, and refuse to be defined by anything but your own potential. #IWD2025

Happy International Women's Day 💜 We've been celebrating #IWD2025 this week with a special postmark on stamped mail, turned our Head Office purple, and also held a special event, 'Hersday', hosted by our very own Women and Allies Employee Resource Group. With a variety of insightful sessions from female game-changers including; Emma Gilthorpe Jenny Hall, Eve Williams, Rajinder Pryor MBE ( ਰਜਿੰਦਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਇਰ ), and Janene Hawkins-Bush, colleagues had the opportunity to attend and also watch a live stream of the event. We're partnering with NewRiver REIT to roll out our new parcel locker network across their portfolio of shopping centres and retail parks. As the largest parcel delivery company in the UK, combining NewRiver’s expansive and geographically diverse portfolio, this new partnership means we can roll out this exciting new concept at scale and speed. The lockers will be available at more than 60 shopping centres and retail parks operated by NewRiver within six months. The first locations have launched at two shopping centres owned by NewRiver in Essex - Grays Shopping Centre in Grays, Thurrock and Newlands Shopping Centre in Witham. NewRiver’s combined portfolio totals c. 80 UK retail destinations across 8.2 million sq ft and this partnership with Royal Mail includes both assets owned by NewRiver and assets it manages on behalf of third-party owners through its capital partnership business, allowing NewRiver to leverage its scale and market-leading platform. A postie from our North West Hub, Christopher (known as Louie) has rowed across the Atlantic with skipper Chris – covering a staggering 3,000 miles in 50 days. After disembarking from Gran Canaria for the Atlantic in December, the pair set sail to Barbados. This fulfilled a mission that was born from personal struggle, determination, and a shared commitment to raising awareness for mental health. The challenge also gave them the chance to raise awareness and funds for the charities they hold close to their hearts, Alibare and Scotty’s Little Soldiers. With over £65,000 raised, they’ve brought much-needed attention to mental health issues in the service community. Louie and Chris’ courage and resilience serve as a reminder that no challenge is too great, and sometimes the greatest rewards come from pushing beyond what we think is possible. A huge well done to the courageous crew! 👏
