John Daw from RSK Biocensus recently spent the day volunteering with Forestry England at their Westonbirt Arboretum centre, helping to set up dormouse nest tubes and footprint tunnels. 🌳 These were placed in both an actively managed hazel coppice and more mature woodland, with the goal of discovering some exciting results! The team will return later this year to see if any hazel dormice have moved in, which could start an exciting monitoring scheme that will aim to raise awareness of their presence at the arboretum. #SelfiesOnSite #Dormice #Ecology #Volunteering #Wildlife #WildlifeAwareness
