In the drive to achieve low carbon solutions, harnessing the potential of geothermal energy as a resource for climate control in buildings could become essential. Science parks and laboratories face a unique heating and cooling challenge. These buildings must be maintained at specific temperatures to conduct work year-round. In a recent article for Breakthrough (the UK Science Park Association magazine), Carbon Zero Consulting Director John Findlay explored how the energy stored in groundwater and the earth below these buildings can be used for both heating and cooling. How can the water industry save £100 million a year and render the fatberg extinct? Peter Henley, Principal Consultant at WRc Group, believes the solution lies in a more holistic approach to waste management. Discussion of a new international flushability standard has renewed the focus on flushable wipes. However, Peter argues that this product is merely the tip of the fatberg. You can read Peter's insights from The Water Report on the RSK website. ➡️ https://lnkd.in/efMXtHi5 #WaterIndustry #FlushableWipes #Fatberg #FineToFlush #FlushableProducts
