Jane Tomlinson's Run For All
Events Services
The lasting legacy of Jane Tomlinson CBE. Not-for-profit events company organising events for people of all abilities.
About us
Run For All is part of the lasting legacy of the late amateur athlete and fundraiser Jane Tomlinson CBE. Jane, from Leeds, made headlines around the world by taking part in a series of incredible endurance events - despite being diagnosed with an incurable cancer. The mum-of-three defied her devastating diagnosis to complete challenge after challenge – from marathons and triathlons to ironman contests and cross-Europe cycle rides. By 2007 her declining health meant she was unable to take part in any more extraordinary undertakings. However, using the money she raised on her epic American adventure, Jane was able to sow the seeds for the Run For All Leeds 10K – the cornerstone of what would become her continuing legacy. Today that one run has grown into one of the UK’s biggest not-for-profit events companies, providing a fundraising vehicle for a huge number of local and national charities. Run For All’s events programme features a number of 10Ks – Leeds, York, Burnley, Nottingham, Middlesbrough, Bury and Sheffield – and the Marathon Series, which includes the Leeds Half Marathon, Sheffield Half Marathon, Derby Half Marathon, Yorkshire Marathon and Yorkshire 10 Mile. Many of our events include team and corporate challenges - if you are a company, group of colleagues or friends looking for a new challenge, we have the event for you. Every year tens of thousands of people take part in our popular events – running for charity, for a personal challenge or just for fun. While we’ve changed since that first Leeds 10K – not least by growing significantly, Run For All’s philosophy remains exactly the same; high-quality, great fun events for absolutely all abilities. Inspired? Then come and join us.

And that's a wrap! The Yorkshire Marathon Festival was an incredible show of community, sport and charity and we can't thank you enough. Despite the weather you all came out in force and lined the streets of York to support those endeavouring to run in the Marathon, the 10 Mile and the Relay. Records were also set with Heather Townsend beating the 11 year standing female course record with a time of 2:39:14 - unbelievable! See you next year! 😃

Jane Tomlinson's Run For All reposted this
Six months ago, my 54 year old mum had never ran a day in her life, yet the night before the Little Troopers 10k in April, she signed up, smashed it and caught the running bug… Since then, I’ve watched her go out weekly, in all weathers, excited to explore her new hobby. Today, I had the honor of watching her cross the finish line at Jane Tomlinson's Run For All as part of a relay with her incredible team from Bettys & Taylors of Harrogate. Together, they raised funds for Women's Counselling Services in York. I couldn’t be prouder of her fearlessness, resilience, and drive. It’s inspiring to witness her achievements and it serves as a reminder that it’s never too late to try something new—you never know where it might lead✨

💕 Compliments and gratitude to the fantastic Jane Tomlinson's Run For All team who organised and oversaw today’s #yorkshiremarathon relay. 💕 The support that the six member #hoteliers of the Hospitality Association York (HAY) received from the team and from the many volunteers involved was exceptional, making it a day that will be remembered for many years. Thank you also to Ben Fry and Elly Fiorentini for their support both on the start & finish lines and to the large crowd along the route, who braved the weather to cheer us on! Finally, it was lovely to compete with 😉 and then be joined 🫶by Sarah Loftus from Visit York. 💰I hope that you can support our #fundraising efforts for SASH (Safe And Sound Homes) by donating 👇🏻 https://lnkd.in/eehPtK57 💰 PS: Well done to all the runners - wether for the marathon or the ten miler - to the other competing teams and especially to Indra Petersone & Hilton York and to Laura Freer & Bishopthorpe net White Rose football group.
