One area where many paramedics and rescue teams may feel underprepared is identifying and managing the complex airway issues often found in water rescue situations, which can impact a significant percentage of patients. Beyond the typical challenges, drowning victims frequently present with complications like Pulmonary Oedema and foam in the airway - yet these issues are seldom covered in detail in Global Guidelines or Resuscitation education. When these scenarios aren’t adequately prepared for, the implications for patient care can be serious. That’s why our Advanced Water Rescue Manikin is a game-changer, being the only manikin in the world that enables teams to replicate these exact scenarios, from the moment of rescue through to resuscitation and advanced medical intervention. This level of specificity allows rescuers to develop crucial, hands-on experience with airway management, including how to respond to conditions like frothing, foam, and fluid in the airway, under realistic training conditions. Created in collaboration with Lifecast Body Simulation Ltd, our manikins have become essential in paramedical and specialist rescue training courses at universities and professional training centres, ensuring that rescue professionals gain practical exposure to the complexities of drowning and the vital interventions needed. The Pool Rescue Manikin is revolutionising lifeguard training worldwide, used by facilities across the globe 💦🏊♂️ Developed with support from the Royal Life Saving Society UK - RLSS UK and approved for specific training and assessment elements, this manikin enables lifeguards to experience a truly realistic rescue from start to finish. Unlike traditional, hollow plastic manikins, this one provides the shape, weight, and resistance of an actual person, allowing assessors to quickly identify areas for improvement.
