📣 First services running at Belfast Grand Central Station! This new transport hub is the largest in the island of Ireland, with capacity to cater 20 million passenger journeys per year. The new facility replaces Europa Bus Centre and Great Victoria train station in an eight-hectare site in Weavers Cross, a new neighborhood in the center of the city. 👷♂️ The project, developed by Sacyr-Farrans Construction JV, was designed and built with sustainability, efficient mobility, respect for the environment and energy conservation in mind. Northern Ireland's Infrastucture minister, John O’Dowd, opened the station as bus services begin to operate. 🔌 If you properly disconnected during your holidays, here's 8️⃣📸 of what’s been happening at Sacyr: 1️⃣🚊We've reached Poço Capitão station, marking the next milestone in São Paulo’s metro project (🇧🇷). 2️⃣🌉 We reached financial close for the Louisiana's I-10 Calcasieu River Bridge project (🇺🇸). 3️⃣🏗️ Construction is underway on the Buenaventura–Loboguerrero–Buga road project (🇨🇴). 4️⃣🛫 We were selected to operate the North Airport Network (🇨🇱). 5️⃣🚧 Sacyr Maintenance has won the contract to maintain 770 km of roads across Jaen, Madrid and Guadalajara (🇪🇸). 6️⃣🧱 We are building a new section of the A-23 highway in Huesca (🇪🇸). 7️⃣🌿 Our Natural Capital assessment tool was recommended by the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) 8️⃣🏕️ The Sacyr Foundation teamed up with NGO A Toda Vela to host a summer camp for people with intellectual disabilities. #WeAreSacyr

Team members from joint venture Farrans Construction - SACYR UK & IRELAND, who are delivering Belfast Grand Central Station for Translink, are setting out on yet another cycle challenge. 👉 This time, it's a 48-hour cycle along the West Highland Way in Scotland. Duane McCreadie MCIOB, project director for Farrans-Sacyr, will be joined by Richard McCullough, Dave Wardell, Matty Blayney, Yesten Smith, Chris Mattocks, Lowell McCreadie, Andrew McCullough, Andrew Hunter and Greig Mitchell. The group of amateur cyclists will embark on a 104-mile cycle from Glasgow to Fort William. 🚴♂️This cycle trip is in memory of Dave’s brother Rab Wardell, who tragically passed away only 2 days after winning the Scottish Mountain Bike Championship in 2022, and all funds raised will go to a charity close to the hearts’ of the team, the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. Duane’s son, Xander, was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis in 2021. Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a genetic condition which causes sticky mucus to build up in the lungs and digestive system. It affects more than 10,800 people in the UK. One in 25 of us carries the faulty gene that causes it, usually without knowing. Good luck!🍀 #ridelikerab #wearesacyr #charity

👏 We are pleased to announce the successful financial close of the I-10 Calcasieu River Bridge project. This is backed by long-term financing, including a US$ 1.33 Bn issue of Private Activity Bonds. Moody’s assigned the project a Baa3 credit rating with a stable outlook. ➡ Calcasieu Bridge Partners (Plenary Americas, Sacyr and ACCIONA) are delivering the I-10 Calcasieu River Bridge project for the Louisiana Department Of Transportation and Development (LADOTD). This contract includes the design, construction, financing, operation and maintenance of Calcasieu River Bridge in Lake Charles, Louisiana, for up to 50 years. This marks our first transportation infrastructure P3 project in the United States, and with financial close behind us, we're thrilled to kick-off this exciting journey. #WeAreSacyr

🚶♀️ 🚶♂️ On Saturday July 20th, members of the SACYR UK & IRELAND team hiked Pen Y Fan alongside another 30 people who chose different walking routes to raise money for Llamau. Despite the terrible turn in weather, the team made it and there were smiles all around at the summit! 💥 Llamau support homeless young people and women to leave homelessness behind for good!
