Do you see your body differently than others? Body dysmorphia can affect athletes too. In sports, body image is often tied to performance, which can lead to an athlete becoming overly critical of their appearance. Body Dysmorphia is a condition where individuals obsess over perceived flaws in their body that may not be noticeable to others. This can be amplified in sports environments that emphasize weight, muscle tone, or physique. ⚖️ SSI’s Body Dysmorphia card offers strategies for athletes to challenge these negative thoughts and access resources for support and recovery. 🔗 Explore more and find support here: [Link] #BodyPositivity #MentalHealthInAthletes #BodyImageInSports #SafeSport
