We're thrilled to share that a new project has been launched in Salford to support homeless and vulnerable people with a helping hand from Salix Homes. The Flexible Learning Hub, led by the Salford Loaves and Fishes charity, aims to help individuals learn digital, employability, and life skills. The hub offers access to personal development and accredited courses, as well as computer access and learning support. This initiative provides an opportunity for individuals to try something new and improve their future learning and employment prospects. Weekly drop-in sessions are at the hub on Thursdays from 1pm. Our campaign to save Salford City Radio is gathering pace and has now reached the Manchester Evening News 📰 Steve, pictured here, is just one of the many remarkable volunteers at the station. Having suffered a stroke at the age of just 36, Steve was told he’d never walk again. He defied medics, but was left disabled and with limited mobility. He credits the station for "keeping him alive", and says it's a place where he feels "valued and accepted". Sadly, the station is struggling financially and desperately needs support in the form of sponsorship or advertising, so we’re urging our fellow Salford organisations to get behind them in their hour of need.
