🎃 Halloween Team Fun at the Office! 🎃 We had an amazing time this Halloween coming together as a team to celebrate, with our US colleagues really showing us how it's done! The office was decked out in spooky decorations, setting the perfect backdrop for a day full of sweet treats, spooky attire and games. 🍬🧙 After a day of fun and candy overload, we wrapped things up with drinks to toast to our team “spirit” 👻 Huge shoutout to everyone who contributed to making it a memorable day. 🌟 Exciting Insights from the US-UK Wealth Networking Evening! 🌟 Last week, our Business Development Executive Natheena Kaleendrarajan had the opportunity to join industry experts at the Schroders' US-UK Wealth Networking Evening. The discussions revolved around potential budgetary changes, shifting migration patterns, and what we can expect regarding US immigration policies—particularly concerning skilled immigrant workers. These insights are crucial as we consider the implications of the election results on the global financial landscape. We invite you to check out the full post below and share your thoughts in Natheena's poll! #USElection2024 #ImmigrationPolicy #EconomicInsights https://lnkd.in/eJkquZUh

Last week, I had the pleasure of attending Schroders' US-UK Wealth Networking Evening with colleagues from Buzzacott, Forsters LLP, Blick Rothenberg, and Schroders. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect and discuss the implications of the US election results on the global financial and economic outlook. With the election only a week away, there was a lively conversation about what budgetary changes we might see, shifting migration patterns, whether we can expect any changes in US-UK immigration policies, and what this might mean for skilled immigrant workers. Both Harris and Trump acknowledge the importance of STEM fields to the U.S. economy and recognise the need to attract skilled workers in this field. However, while Harris has expressed support for expanding the H-1B visa program, which allows U.S. employers to temporarily employ foreign workers in specialty occupations, Trump's administration could restrict the H-1B visa program, as they aim to prioritise American workers. New research from the University of Pennsylvania highlights that reducing immigration can have different economic impacts dependent on immigrants' skill levels. There is concern that if the U.S. reduces high-skilled immigration, wages for American workers could actually decrease as high-skilled immigrants contribute to innovation and bring skills that boost productivity across the workforce. Do the benefits of diverse skill sets working together outweigh potential concerns about skill replacement? Share your thoughts in our poll below!

🌟 Thrilled to share some exciting news! 🌟 I’m beyond grateful to London Chamber of Commerce and Industry for selecting me to be part of the Women in Business (WIB) Development Programme. It’s been an incredibly enriching journey, full of learning, growth, and new connections across a variety of industries. Along with practical business support, access to valuable resources, and mentorship, I had the chance to connect with an amazing group and build meaningful relationships within an inspiring community of women that I’ll value for a long time. 💼✨ Some key highlights: • Empowered with practical tools and strategies to amplify our impact 💪  • Supported by an incredible network of peers, mentors, and role models 🤝  • Energized and inspired by the powerful stories and lived experiences of fellow women in business 💡 Today, I’m proud to announce that I’ve successfully completed the programme and have gained a trusted circle of ambitious female ambassadors. Together, we’re ready to take on the future with confidence and a shared vision! 🚀 I look forward to put this into practice at Samartin and Friends, where I’ll be sharing what I’ve learned and passing on these valuable resources to support and empower our leading women. The WIB Programme has given me an understanding of the challenges in navigating male-orientated industries. I feel very fortunate to work in an organisation where females are strongly represented and supported. Thank you Abby Ghafoor Sarah Jo Loveday FCIPD FRSA  Barbara Puddinu for your words of wisdom and teachings on Friday. I am excited to explore these new connections and opportunities! We have been working hard as a team to reflect on who we are as a business and what truly drives us. After engaging discussions and plenty of collaboration, we believe we’ve defined the core values that truly represent who Samartin & Friends are. 🙌 These aren’t just words—they represent the principles that guide how we work, support each other, and serve our clients. We’re committed to making these values truly matter and are determined that they will not only be words on a page or a tick box exercise, but will influence every aspect of our firm—from how we recruit and onboard new team members to how we measure performance and success, and in the way we support our clients. Today, we are excited to share the first of these values: Outcomes-Focused We believe that this value is at the heart of everything we do, and to explain why, we’ll hand over to one of our team! #CompanyValues #OutcomesFocused
