SAMH (Scottish Action for Mental Health) is Scotland's national mental health charity.
About us
SAMH (Scottish Action for Mental Health) is Scotland's national mental health charity. With one in four of us experiencing a mental health problem each year, the work of SAMH is crucial to Scotland's well-being. We have been working to promote mental health in Scotland since 1923. Our services are built upon our belief that people with mental health problems should be ambitious about their futures. One of the ways we do this is by supporting people into work and in partnership with employers supporting workplace wellbeing initiatives. For more information on working with us please visit www.samh.org.uk or contact us at enquire@samh.org.uk. Thank you.

Our Chief Executive, Billy Watson, has responded to Sir Chris Hoy's Times interview: "As one of Scotland's greatest ever athletes and our Ambassador of fifteen years, Sir Chris is one of the most remarkable and inspiring people that I have the pleasure to know. But it is his simple decency, his love for his family, and his desire to create positive change for others that makes him who he is. "Everyone at SAMH sends our love to Chris, Sarra, Callum and Chloe. His commitment to improving Scotland's mental health remains as strong as ever and we will stand with him and his family every step of the way."
