Our Head of Wine Dario Barbato DipWSET, CS was recognised as one of this year’s Thessaloniki Wine & Spirits Trophy essay competition winners! Candidates were asked to explain in 1600 words, the economic and commercial potential of Greek wines around the world. Dario’s essay was selected due to its creativity, insightful ideas, and deep understanding of the topic.    The prize included a four-day trip to Thessaloniki, where he tasted and judged more than 400 wines alongside winemakers, oenologists, and wine producers, most of whom are Master of Wine and Master Sommeliers from around the globe.   What an incredible experience! #ThessalonikiWineandSpiritsTrophy #WineMasters

Inspiring the Next Generation in Hospitality! 🍽️✨ On Friday, we had the fantastic opportunity to visit Ruth Gorse Academy in Leeds for their Careers Fair, meeting students from Year 7 to Year 11 and sharing insights into the exciting world of hospitality! At San Carlo, we’re passionate about showcasing the variety of careers available in our industry—from front of house and kitchen roles to management and beyond. It was great to chat with so many enthusiastic students, answer their questions, and introduce them to the possibilities of a future in hospitality.
