Thanks to the Saudi British Joint Business Council (SBJBC) for hosting an action packed few hours in Newcastle last night and inviting me to share some thoughts. Where the football stadium dominates the city which now has close connections back into KSA, we talked about (and learned) among many things... - Only 5% of the money to develop the region has been allocated - that's some upside for opportunity - that's worth re-reading. - 100 sporting Federations have been set up in KSA - Local participation has nearly quadrupled in 7 years - The first elite medals are now being won at major tournaments by Saudis - KSA has established itself as a major sporting event host - There is a 7 week fast track system in place to set up business in the region - Events are big business and you need to bring your 'A' game and wow the fans Thanks to Basim K.
