Proud to stand with every child.
About us
Save the Children exists to help every child reach their full potential. In more than 100 countries including the UK, we help children stay safe, healthy and keep learning. We lead the way on tackling big problems like pneumonia, hunger and protecting children in war, while making sure each child’s unique needs are cared for. We find new ways to reach children who need us most, no matter where they’re growing up. For a century, we’ve stood up for children and made sure their voices are heard. We wrote the treaty that sets out the rights of every child, and we’ve been upholding them every day since. We know we can’t do this alone. Together with children, supporters and partners, we work to help every child become who they want to be.

A year of relentless bombing and near-total siege has left Gaza’s children terrified and gripped by hunger. Yasmeen is in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza, detailing how dire the situation is for families. She met a severely malnourished child, who we were thankfully able to treat through our Save the Children healthcare centre. Please donate now to help more children: https://bit.ly/3A9iE3u #MiddleEastAppeal

🔒 Child Lock: Lasting Change for Children, Locked In Right now, 4.3 million children in the UK are living in poverty and this figure will only continue to rise without urgent action. Today we are launching our Child Lock campaign. We are calling on the UK government to protect child-related benefits in the Autumn budget to raise them annually in line with either inflation or average earnings, similar to the State Pension Triple Lock. Coupled with scrapping the two-child limit & benefit cap, 400,000 children would be lifted out of poverty in the next decade. Join us in demanding lasting change for children. ⚠️ Children in Malawi are living through a devastating cycle of consecutive climate disasters. Today, together with the Green Climate Fund and the Government of Malawi, we’re marking an important milestone in our mission to develop climate-resilience healthcare systems, through the approval of a significant new US$37 million project. The ‘Climate resilient health and well-being for rural communities in Southern Malawi’ project will help empower communities to manage the many impacts of climate change on health, aiming to reach a fifth of Southern Malawi’s population directly - 1.7 million people - and create lasting change. With thanks to co-financing provided by GSK, Foundation S and Moondance Foundation. Read more here ➡️ https://lnkd.in/eCTCz7wi

In September, Bryan Murphy took on the massive challenge of completing the 'Racing the Planet 20 Year Jordan Anniversary Race'. As it was a self-supported race across 250km in Jordan, Bryan carried all equipment and food across sand and rock terrain, salt flats, canyons and riverbeds. It's Bryan's fourth time running for Save the Children and he raised an incredible £7,928, bringing his overall fundraising total over the last six years to over £26,000 ❤️ Impressive is an understatement! You can still donate to his fundraiser here ➡️ https://lnkd.in/enFGGR7z #SaveTheChildren
