We are excited to announce our next Lightning Speaker for #ElevateNI2025, Lauren McBurney, BSc Computer Science!! 🎉 In this talk, Lauren will share her journey to becoming a software engineering intern at Liberty IT, focusing on how she navigated exam stress and self-doubt as a woman in STEM. From working on backend projects and competing in hackathons in America to founding a Women in STEM society at university, she’ll discuss the challenges she’s faced and the achievements she’s made along the way. 🚀Save the date(s) GenAIEdu 2025 Belfast, National Conference on Generative Artificial Intelligence in Education - returns 20th June 2025 and August 26-28th 2025 GenAIEdu 2025 – the Fourth and Fifth National Conference(s) on Generative Artificial Intelligence in Education will take place at the York Street Belfast Campus of Ulster University on 20th June 2025 followed by a three day conference from August 26-28th 2025 (TBC) The conference, organised by the School of Computing, Engineering and Intelligent Systems, Faculty of Computing, Engineering and The Built Environment in partnership with the South West College and supported by BringITON will explore the cutting-edge world of Generative Artificial Intelligence in an educational context. Whether you are an educator, researcher, teacher, student or industry professional, these conference(s) are your gateway to understanding how generative AI is revolutionising the way we learn, teach and assess. You will learn about cutting-edge technologies and large language models such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Grok and co-pilots and how these tools and natural language processing capabilities enable personalized and interactive learning experiences through a series of keynotes, talks, discussion panels and hands on workshops, demonstrations and networking events with leading academics, researchers and industry experts in this area.
