School of Hard Knocks is a social inclusion charity which runs courses that use sport to tackle unemployment, antisocial behaviour, crime and health. The charity has an expert team of coaches and mentors and is supported by a wide range of high profile individuals from within and outside sport. Our work has been documented multiple times by Sky Sports since 2007 and has grown into one of the most effective and high profile courses in the UK, working with some of the most hard to reach individuals in our society. WHAT WE DO: We run courses nationwide, using our unique programme of challenging activities and values-based lessons to help participants take positive steps forward in their lives. We teach responsibility, motivation, teamwork, respect and discipline, all of which allow individuals to take responsibility for their actions and context. Our programmes are delivered to young children, teenagers and adults, with extra skills-based lessons tailored to the participants and their requirements.

Today's the day for 🎉 Tastes Like Success 🎉 and we are thrilled to shine a spotlight on Scottish rowing sensation Taylor Winyard who we are fortunate to have as a guest this evening. 🚣♀️ 🥇 🏴 Taylor is an ocean rower and double world record holder. She holds the record for the fastest mixed trio to row across the Atlantic (40 days, 37 minutes) and the fastest trio to cross the mid-Pacific (38 days, 1 hour, 34 minutes). Originally a Pony Club tetrathlon and hockey enthusiast, Taylor discovered her love for the water after being fast-tracked onto UK Sport's Girls4Gold programme in 2014. In 2019, she climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro, sparking her passion for extreme endurance. She’s now the first Scot to row two oceans, completing the 2021 Atlantic Challenge with ‘Atlantic Nomads’ and the 2024 Pacific Challenge with ‘Pacific Triow.’ 🙌
