Catherine Ross named as new President of the Science Council The Science Council is delighted to announce that Professor Catherine Ross CSci CBiol has been elected as its next President, effective immediately. Catherine has been a member of the Board of Trustees since 2020 and its Vice Chair since June 2021. She has also chaired the Science Council’s Policy Advisory Committee for the past three years. Catherine will step down from the Board with immediate effect. Catherine is both a Chartered Scientist and a Chartered Biologist. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Biology, the Academy for Healthcare Science, the National Institute for Prevention and Cardiovascular Health (NIPC), and the European Society of Cardiology. She holds a number of senior leadership positions nationally and internationally and has served as the President of the Professional Body for Cardiac Scientists SCST.
