The TechTrack apprenticeship scheme is improving digital expertise in the civil service. 2,000 apprentices are expected to join TechTrack by 2030, helping to turbocharge improvements and efficiencies in public services. The scheme from Government Digital and Data offers apprentices the chance to retrain in a variety of digital skills, through a range of job opportunities across government departments. Last year, 290,000 instances of online child sexual abuse material were removed. Online Safety Act laws are now in force to make sure tech companies are working to prevent, detect, and remove illegal content, including child sexual abuse material, terrorist content and intimate image abuse.
