Our West Region Chair Michael Rolfe represented the organisation as an official flag bearer at Sunday's special Harvest Thanksgiving service held at Glasgow Cathedral, organised by RHASS. 🌾 The service provided a meaningful opportunity to recognise the vital role farmers play in feeding the nation, while also acknowledging the challenges faced by those in the agricultural sector. And it was great to have Michael representing the contributions of Scotland's Young Farmers on the day. #youngfarmersis #thankful #backbritishfarming

About us
The Scottish Association of Young Farmers (SAYFC) brings together young people in rural Scotland who are interested in agricultural and the countryside, and has done since 1938. As the association has evolved, the main ethos has remained constant, to offer personal development opportunities for young people. The unique organisation led by the members for the members, has encouraged members to think and speak for themselves. Membership is open to anyone between 14 and 30 years of age, and with more than 3000 members and 80 clubs across Scotland affiliated with the association, anyone who is interested in joining will find a club near them. The current motto “Not just for those who wear wellies” enhances that the association is not just for farmers, and many of the current members do not work, live or indeed coming from a farming background. SAYFC is for anyone who would like to be part of a youth organisation where they can gain personal development that will undoubtedly benefit them during their time as a Young Farmer, and in their future. Activities range from stockjudging and art & craft competitions to sports events, drama, farm/producer visits to dances & international travel. VISION SAYFC's vision is to ensure the the youth in rural Scotland have a dynamic and accessible organisation which will support them to become successful learners, confident individuals, effective contributors and responsible citizens. This is achieved by: * Increasing the awareness of the benefits on offer by being a member. * Ensuring members are being heard; our actions reflect the needs and aspirations of our members. * Providing a clear strategic approach to improving the services we offer members. * Offering a clear approach to assisting our members with their personal development. * Improving communication and networking across the youth and agricultural sectors. * Increasing the recognition of the positive contribution to society made by Young Farmer members

Thanks to Cefetra Ltd for a brilliantly informative tour of their Ormiston Grain store. We welcome their initiative to help support and empower future farmers in Scotland and look forward to further collaboration in the future. #youngfarmersis #education #collaboration #development
🌾 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐍𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐅𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐒𝐀𝐘𝐅𝐂! 🌾 Cefetra Ltd had the pleasure of hosting visitors from the Scottish Association of Young Farmers Clubs (SAYFC) for the day at our Ormiston grain store, where we were able to give them an insight into our operations. Not only was there a tour of the site and a hands-on visit to the grain laboratory, but also a presentation that encouraged discussions around the topic of 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐛𝐨𝐧 𝐬𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 with Cefetra Ecosystem Services. We were impressed by the range of insightful questions we received throughout the day, some of which leading to meaningful debates. The perspectives of the young farmers has given us a valuable look into how the next generation of UK agriculture feels about some of the “hottest topics” currently being discussed within our industry. We thoroughly enjoyed sharing our experience with this group, and we look forward to building on this initiative together through future events. We're proud to support the SAYFC community, and we're especially excited to sponsor the 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 on the 𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐍𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫! Here's to empowering the future of sustainable farming, one conversation at a time. 🌱 #SAYFC #CefetraEcosystemServices #SustainableFarming #CarbonSequestration #YoungFarmers #FutureOfFarming
