We are delighted to welcome into membership Glasgow Clyde College, a further and higher education college, located in the city of Glasgow. Glasgow Clyde College was created following the mergers of Anniesland College, Cardonald College and Langside College in August 2013. It is a leading provider of engineering education in Scotland, offering a diverse range of programs tailored to meet the demands of modern industry. The college's engineering department provides courses in areas such as mechanical, electrical, fabrication and welding, and electronic engineering, equipping students with practical skills and technical expertise. With state-of-the-art facilities and strong industry partnerships, the college ensures students gain hands-on experience through real-world projects and work placements. Glasgow Clyde College is dedicated to producing highly skilled engineers, preparing graduates for careers in the engineering sector.

We've had a brilliant few days, of networking and catching up with members and some new and familiar faces, thank you Premier Publishing & Events Ltd for organising a fantastic event. A great morning at the 2024 Scotland Manufacturing & Supply Chain Conference & Exhibition. We're delighted to welcome into membership Swan Engineering Ltd, one of the country’s major manufacturers of food processing equipment. Swan Engineering supply new and bespoke equipment to supply lines for the likes of Tesco, Asda, CO-OP and Marks & Spencer. Operating from a 30,000 square foot facility in North Fife with over 45 staff, they do almost everything in house, ensuring complete control over timescale, budget and quality.    Specialists in production line equipment as well as bespoke fabrication projects with complex electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic installations. They provide subcontract services such as precision machining, laser cutting (sheet and tube), fabrication and electrical works. They also offer a commercial cooling service under the name CoreCool, which provides proactive and reactive maintenance, as well as new design and installation work for cold stores and commercial cooling applications, covering most of Scotland and still expanding.

She will first be participating in the panel discussion surrounding Sustainability Benefits of Circular Economy Supply Chains in the Wind Industry, taking place at 11.20 over on stage 5. Then at 12.30, on the same stage, Marianne will be delivering an insightful talk on Empowering Local Business. Be sure to check them out!
