We recently worked with change-makers EARNT on a volunteer initiative with one of our long-standing partners, amazing food poverty fighters The Felix Project. The Felix Project performs vital work feeding local communities in need in London by rescuing surplus food, which they turn into meals and deliver to over 900 frontline charities and schools. With the help of our friends at EARNT, who we're working with across Lore Group hotels, we invited volunteers to join the Sea Containers London team at The Felix Project depot, to help prepare meals for some of these community groups, and learn more about their valuable work. EARNT helped us to reward the volunteers with a night at Sea Containers London, complimentary drinks on our rooftop terrace 12th Knot, and a treatment for two in agua Spa. We are so pleased to welcome our partner Breathe Arts Health Research to Sea Containers London today to kick off their annual two-week Breathe Magic Intensive Therapy Programme. Breathe Arts Health Research is a world leader in combining creativity and robust scientific research to improve health and well-being. Their vision is to transform healthcare, embedding evidence-based arts and health into the mainstream, delivering diverse programmes across various art forms to meet specific clinical and wellbeing needs. Breathe Magic Intensive Therapy Programme was created to help young people with hemiplegia (a weakness or paralysis affecting one side of the body because of brain injury or stroke) through the art of magic. This award-winning programme gives young people with hemiplegia access to 60 hours of fun, engaging and clinically effective intensive therapy, transforming them into young magicians! Specialist occupational therapists will work alongside Magic Circle magicians and the Breathe team in our studios, delivering interventions tailored to each young person’s needs. We are honoured to support this life-changing programme for another year, and delighted to host the children and their families at Sea Containers London. On World Water Day, we’re proud to announce that we have joined forces with Made Blue Foundation, a charity on a mission to provide everyone with access to clean drinking water. . This partnership means that when you stay at Sea Containers London, or any other Lore Group hotel, you can sleep (and shower) easier knowing that you're helping provide water where it’s most needed, from Asia and Africa to the Americas. . Our partnership funds 100 litres of clean, fresh water for every room night sold across our group. Guests are given this ‘gift’ to pay forward — an amount funded, in its entirety, by us. Every guest has the power to decide where, and whom, the total amount made possible by their stay will support: each occupied night provides one full day of clean water for a household in an area of water scarcity. .
