Last week we put 10 of the UK's best in net zero construction and building operations in a room with Shimizu Corporation for an afternoon of pitching, Q&A and networking. In short, it rocked. Held at Sustainable Ventures' fantastic event space, and delivered through our partnership with the Department for Business and Trade – the UK-APAC Tech Growth Programme, it helped UK companies get face-to-face with one of APAC's biggest civil engineering firms. The winner will fly to Shimizu Corporation's offices in Singapore to advance commercial discussions. Three superintensive days in Greenhouse Hackathon in Malmö last week! Out of 170 ideas which we received to our open call "Circular Futures" last autumn, the four most promising start-ups Volare Solutions, ÄIO, Tebrito and SEaB ENERGY (SEaB Power Ltd) were invited to co-develop their collaboration ideas together with Lantmännen colleagues in the Hackathon. 🌱🌱🌱🌱 It was exciting to see the joint teams working together, each participant bringing in his or her special knowledge and expertise, covering technology, R&D, market, financials, life cycle analysis, feed, fertilizers and so on and on! 🌱🌱🌱 Thank you so much for joining Luísa, Evelyn, Maija, Anni, Solja, Jarna, Tuure, Sofia, Kirsi, Tapio, Sandra, Maria, Aino, Richard, Carlo, Nils, Göran, Kerstin, Anders, Jakob! The work within Lantmännen’s program for innovation – The Greenhouse – has recently put its first major phase behind it. “We have had three intensive days where the participants have been able to take part in and share Lantmännen's and their own business contexts, and it has been clear what strength there is in close collaboration when aiming to create maximum value from the startup companies' innovations,” says Nina Tuomikangas, Program Manager for the Greenhouse, Lantmännen R&D.
