  • Seashell employee Michelle Jones is taking on the London Marathon next month. Michelle, who heads up our Sensory Services, will be doing the 26.2mile run to raise money for Seashell and help even further with supporting our students! She said: "I find my job very rewarding. You work very individually with the children in Sensory Services and they always make you think outside the box. They are all unique and that makes my job very special." Read more about Michelle's challenge and find the link to her donation page here: https://lnkd.in/eNzAybHS Interested in taking on a challenge for Seashell? Email fundraising@seashelltrust.org.uk

  • For Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month we want to continue our work in promoting inclusion and understanding by sharing Mollie's story. Mollie is a former Royal College Manchester student who is now a Seashell employee with the Fundraising Team. She's a credit to the team and we've learned so much from having Mollie be part of our staff and engaging with our supporters. A huge THANK YOU to Mollie, and her dad Ciaran, for speaking to us and giving us all a greater understanding of disability and cerebral palsy. Want to know more? Read Mollie's story here: https://lnkd.in/e-rHX5U4

  • It's STRICTLY SATURDAY and we're back with some exciting judge news. Yes, we have the incredible Dr Ranj, Dr Punam and our lovely Miss Andrea to announce as some of our fantastic judges for Strictly Seashell 2025. • Today was our School Science Day! Throughout the day students could get stuck-in to all kinds of sensory activities, including outdoor messy play with sand and jelly, under-the-sea themed interactive spaces, immersive storytelling sessions and even slime making. Over in the hall, students could have a go at picking up recyclable materials and putting them in the correct bins. There's so much fun in the wonderful world of science!

We had a very special visitor at last week's Seashell Central! Our mascot stopped by to officially meet everyone, take plenty of selfies and even help out with some of the stalls... Seashell Central is our monthly staff wellbeing hub, with free pastries, coffee and information stalls where everyone can have a chat and a catch-up. Our volunteers are also welcome at the sessions, and our Volunteering Business Partner Stephen chatted to us about why they are so valued. "You get to transform the lives of young people, and just feel great about what you're doing," said Stephen. We also had donated toys for sale, Seashell branded goodies, and tasty cupcakes donated by a member of staff. Seashell Central is just one of the perks of working with us - find out more on our website. Seashell Jobs: https://lnkd.in/e2QyfDzn Help us name our bear:
