We have recently had the pleasure of working student Suraya Kaniz Sumona joining us on a short contract within the CRM team 🌟 Suraya has been an invaluable resource during an extremely busy time for us and here is what she had to say about working at SE: During my time at SE, I gained experience in setting up and managing campaigns, editing HTML and handlebars, conducting subject line testing, and overseeing campaign management. I also provided support to my CRM colleagues by reporting banner clicks and unique clicks to enhance CRM strategies and enhance customer lifetime value. Additionally, I improved my analysis skills by looking at campaign data and optimised our outreach to boost customer engagement and conversion rates. Over the past three months, I have developed both my soft and hard skills, thanks to my amazing team, especially my manager, Bridie Tubb, who supported me in every aspect. I feel overwhelmed about leaving this company, but I hope to work here again if I get an opportunity in the near future. I wish great success to the company and my CRM team! 🌎 New starter at Secret Escapes! 🌍 Let’s welcome Ellie Nash, who has recently joined SE as Learning & Development Coordinator. We spoke to her this week about her career background and why she chose to join SE’s People team: Why did you choose Secret Escapes? Secret Escapes has allowed me to take my two loves, travel and L&D, and combine them into my dream role! That was the initial draw for me, but upon doing a bit more research, I found lots more things that excited me about the company, such as hybrid working, a WFA scheme, and values that really align with my own. What’s your professional background? I’ve always been passionate about L&D, studying Education at university, and then getting my Masters in Human Resource management. I began working at a creative training agency within the tech space, where I got lots of great practical experience and enjoyed working on some cool projects with lots of variation. My favourite projects were anything video related, or anything that gave me the opportunity to try something new! What’s your new role? My new role sits within the Employee Experience team, as the L&D Co-ordinator. There are lots of great projects coming up that I’ll be getting involved in, but currently I’m particularly excited about working on the Core Skills programme and helping colleagues grow and excel. My overall goal is to one day make everyone as passionate about learning as I am! Do you have a fun fact about yourself you can share with us? At the end of last year, I set myself a ‘12 countries in 12 months’ challenge! I’ve made it to 11 so far and have one more to go, not sure where that will be yet! I’m looking forward to getting to know everyone better, as so far it seems like such a friendly and supportive environment and a lovely culture. Welcome on board, Ellie! 👏

🌟 New starter at Secret Escapes! 🌟 Welcome to Tony Nguyen, who has recently joined SE as a Revenue Management Accountant. We spoke to him earlier this week about his career background and why he chose to join SE’s finance team: What were you doing before you joined SE? My journey started at King's College London, where I earned my degree in Mathematics. After that, I began my career in an accountancy practice which ignited my passion for accounting. This passion led me to roles at various companies within industry and. I am now a fully qualified ACCA Accountant. What will you be doing in your role at SE? I will be working with large data sets to ensure the accuracy of reporting figures at month-end, including revenue and costs. I perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and conduct month-end variance analysis. The speed and level of detail with which I perform my duties help key stakeholders make better decisions, driving the company towards further success. What drew you to joining SE? I was drawn to Secret Escapes after hearing the hiring managers and talent acquisition team speak so passionately about the company. During the interviews, I could sense the enjoyment and dedication of the people working here. The culture is incredible, and I felt valued, both in terms of what I can bring to the table and how SE can contribute to my growth. I look forward to working closely with the whole team, gaining new skills, and being a part of SE's exciting journey in the coming months. 🌟 Teamwork Makes the Dream Work! 🌟 Last week, we had an incredible team-building day filled with inspiration and collaboration! 🚀 The day kicked off with an engaging team workshop, where we brainstormed innovative ideas, strategies, engagement. This was followed by a dynamic session with our talented Package Design team, working together to create the most inspirationnal packages for our members. But it wasn't all work and no play! In the afternoon, we participated in some fun team-building activities that brought out the best in each of us, fostering stronger connections and camaraderie.
