Back in August, as part of our Apprentice Induction week, we had our new starters take part in two days of helping the local community through projects to improve these important spaces. Day 1 took part at Green Slate Community Farm in Wigan where, the apprentices helped to do much needed general labouring tasks. Day 2 saw the Apprentices giving the Bolton CVS center a spruce up through painting the corridors and communal areas, to keep it looking fresh for the visitors and charities who use the space. The aim was to educate our Apprentices from the start on the importance of giving back to the community. Watch the video ➡️ https://lnkd.in/e6fuuRDr

As part of our commitment to the communities we work within, we have been conducting informational talks between the pupils of a Bolton primary school we are working on and our Site Managers. The purpose of these visits is to educate the children about the work going on in their school and what they can expect to see over the coming months. The talks were definitely a success with questions such as "how long will it take in seconds" and "what do you eat for dinner" keeping our site staff on their feet! #Schoolvisits #Sitetalks

Our brilliant Birmingham office colleagues have been helping to feed the homeless community with charity Lets Feed Brum! The team set up a stall to serve a hearty breakfast while others took a trolley with hot drinks and food to reach those unable to make the walk. Overall they fed 70 people in need and will be out again in November to reach even more people. #Letsfeedbrum #Birmingham

We held a raffle at our recent Housing Community Summit Breakfast with Sutcliffe with each guest being entered into a draw to win £500 for a charity of their choice. Our lucky winner Katie Saunders chose to donate to LifeShare, Trowers & Hamlins chosen charity of the year which supports Manchester’s homeless communities. A great cause and thank you to everyone who attended the breakfast. https://lnkd.in/d4xx4sC
