Content Marketing @ Cyfrin: World-class web3 education, tools, and security audits | "Metaverse AI" trilogy author

I've written for 10+ years without and for 2 years with AI. I wrote a guest post on AI-generated content. The PROs and CONs would shock you... Emma Williams invited me to write for Seene Digital. 🔗 to the full story in the 1st comment Here are some insights from my blog post: AI-generated content is everywhere. AI tools can help you: -edit -draft -brainstorm NLP tries to mimic human writing. But it lacks emotional depth and humour. Still, AI tools can help you: -Translate with minimal editing. -Generate new ideas effortlessly. -Boost SEO with targeted keywords. -Analyze and improve existing content. -Save time creating marketing collateral. -Create multiple social media posts at once. So, there are benefits such as: -Rapid iteration > Fast drafting and refining -Efficient research > Summarize complex texts -Benchmarking > Compare and improve your writing But at what cost? -Worse writing since we practice less. -Impaired thinking since we problem-solve less. -Diminished satisfaction since we do less of what we enjoy. (If you enjoy writing.) And does it make a difference? Google favours quality content. AI-driven searches aim for relevance. So, high-ranking content must show: -expertise -experience -authority -trust That's Google's E-E-A-T. That's why we need human writers. Human writers: -create new and insightful ideas -introduce a perspective and personality -edit and improve the quality of AI output They are vital for a brand’s SEO success. Conclusion AI helps, but actual impact needs a human touch. The future is human-machine collaboration. Blending AI efficiency with human creativity. 🔗 to the full story in the 1st comment Comment below What's your take on AI-generated content? Follow 👉 Martin Petkov for more insights. The key to modern SEO lies in helpful content ✍ , at least according to Google. Our founder Emma Williams sat down with WebsitePlanet recently to share her thoughts on the modern SEO landscape, offering key insights into the principles behind ranking success. 📈 https://lnkd.in/eVts7HSN From what it means to create high-quality content in the age of saturated search results, to the importance of nurturing lasting relationships with each and every client, their discussion lifts the lid on recent changes made to SERPs and why helpful content will always be king. With the reveal of Google’s March Core Update, the beliefs shared in this piece have been confirmed, with the site making a commitment to ridding results pages of spam-filled content. Google says the goal is to “reduce low-quality, unoriginal content in search results by 40%”. Here are the main changes in the latest Google update: 1️⃣ Scaled content abuse - The key word here is scale, while the relationship between low-quality content and AI is clear, Google isn’t necessarily looking to completely de-incentivise its use. The site’s new Lowest Quality Justification factor outlines this as a commitment to penalising pages with a deceptive purpose, primarily those that host large amounts of error-filled AI content under the guise of an informative source. 2️⃣ Site reputation abuse - Parasite SEO is also in the firing line, with a new policy intended to punish websites found to be hosting low-quality content from third-party sources. This doesn’t mean all third-party content is in danger, only unoriginal pieces  crafted to manipulate rankings by riding on the authority of established websites. In other words, genuinely helpful (E-E-A-T) content will continue to be successful. 3️⃣ Expired domain abuse - It’s not just content that Google will now consider as spam, with the new update also placing a heightened focus on expired domain abuse. Sites purchased for their searchable domain names and repurposed to host low-quality, AI content will be penalised in SERPs, with Google viewing these sites as “manipulating search rankings by hosting content that provides little to no value to users”. So, what does this mean for SEO? As discussed with Website Planet, brands and content creators looking to rank well in the future will need to focus on content quality. This means aligning with E-E-A-T principles and creating original content that provides clear value to readers. This extends to the user experience on your site, with Google’s Helpful Content Update still rewarding sites that offer great page experiences via easy navigation and fast loading times. Finally, remember it’s never too late to make changes. Regular site audits will help you spot where improvements could be made, while studying sites impacted by algorithmic changes will highlight potential weaknesses in your strategy. Above all else, helpful content is the 🔑 .

The way we search for content online is always changing, so how do clever marketers stay ahead of the curve? One way is to analyse the tools consumers use to find products and services most efficiently, using this data to tailor content creation strategies to best capture new and emerging trends. In today’s world, a promising trend seems to be voice search optimisation. 🤳 🔎 At present, it’s believed there are over 125 million active voice assistant users, with 36% of the online community using platforms like Siri and Google Assistant to locate content online. Great! So more people can find branded content quicker and easier than ever before? Yes, so long as that content is optimised in line with the way voice searches are performed. Short-tail keywords are out, Natural Language Processing is in, but that’s only scratching the surface. Check out our latest blog post to learn the ins and outs of voice search optimisation.

15 Proven SEO Tactics for Tech Companies Some fantastic insights that all tech companies should read from our CEO and other Founders/Leaders in the industry! https://lnkd.in/eCht4vBX

Thanks for the interview Serpstat "15 Proven SEO Tactics for Tech Companies". https://lnkd.in/eCht4vBX - some fantastic insights that all tech companies should read! 👩💻 It was great to chat to the team and some other leaders and friends in the industry, including Brandon Schroth who really 🔨 the nail on the head when it comes to SGE and favouring natural over over-optimised anchor text: “Google's Search Generative Experience, or SGE, is set to revolutionize the SEO landscape significantly. SGE is a sophisticated AI model aimed at enhancing the search experience by generating more intuitive and contextually accurate results. Instead of relying solely on keywords, the SGE understands the intent behind a user's query, considering the broader context and nuances. For SEO professionals, it implies a shift in strategy. They will need to think more holistically about their content strategy, ensuring that it caters to a wider range of user needs. Keyword stuffing may become obsolete, and a stronger focus on quality, comprehensive content that genuinely serves user intent will be the key to success. While it may seem challenging, it presents an exciting opportunity for businesses to stand out in the digital space. With SGE, Google is emphasizing the importance of creating content that truly adds value to the user's experience. The focus will be on content that answers questions, provides solutions, and engages users rather than simply ranking for specific keywords. SEO professionals will have to get to know their target audience and anticipate what they will be searching for. Moreover, SGE has the potential to make SEO more accessible for small businesses. With traditional SEO, smaller companies often struggle to compete against bigger players with larger budgets. However, SGE's focus on relevant content means that smaller businesses can gain visibility by providing useful and unique information that caters to their target audience. This leveling of the playing field could have a significant impact on the SEO landscape, making it more democratic and merit-based.” Veselin Mladenov Giacomo Gaudenzi Seene Digital Karolina Turowska Eugene Odyntsov Rrezarta Sahiti Cristian Ungureanu Jay Jangid Ana Zubkova Nikola Baldikov Vikas Kalwani Hasmik Yenokyan 😀

As 2023 draws to a close, it’s important to find some time to reflect on the year’s successes and begin to plan for an exciting future. ✨ At Seene Digital, we’re particularly grateful for the incredible clients we’ve worked with over the last 12 months - for the opportunity to share their important messages and promote their impactful services to audiences all over the world. Of course, each success is a team effort, and we’re privileged to work alongside an amazing group of dedicated professionals, so a massive thank you to our wonderful team! 😍 As we watch our work continue to help businesses reach new heights, it’s clear that SEO and high-quality content remain just as important as ever. In fact, maybe even more so. ▶ Less than 1% of internet users click through to Google’s 2nd results page ▶ Google’s top ranked pages host 3.8X the number of backlinks as those ranked 2 - 10 ▶ 81% of consumers rely on search engines to evaluate the quality of local businesses ▶ As many as 88% of marketers chose to expand their SEO operations in 2023  ▶ Ranking 1st on Google translates to an almost 40% organic click-through rate However, SEO and the online world is constantly changing. Search engine algorithms have been transformed significantly throughout 2023, primarily through a variety of Google updates. Google is cracking down on AI-generated articles, fake updates and misleading or thin content, with 2023’s Helpful Content Update ramping up the emphasis on only putting out content that demonstrates E - E - A - T. 👉 Experience - Expertise - Authoritativeness - Trustworthiness 👈 But what is helpful content? Well, Google suggests brands ask themselves a few questions: ▶ Does the content provide original information, reporting, research or analysis? ▶ Does the page title provide a descriptive, helpful summary of the content? ▶ Would you expect to see this content referenced by a printed magazine or book? ▶ Is the content mass produced and outsourced to a large number of creators? If your answers are 3 yeses and a no, you can be pretty sure you’re on the right track. Above all else, one thing is clear, a commitment to producing high-quality, user-centric content is always the best compass for success in SEO. And this is key not just for on-page SEO with content on your website and on your blog, but also in link building if you’re sending out articles to industry publications or blogs. Algorithm updates come and go, but with every change, quality continues to outrank quantity.
