This week, we hosted three inspiring seminars and workshops on the topic of sustainable product development. Together with representatives from different companies and industries we explored how the new Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR) affect product development and companies’ business models. ☀️ ⛅ Simulation for more realistic dimensioning of solar panel mounting systems Semcon has supported several companies in the new and rapidly growing solar industry with wind load calculations, one of which is Nordmount. Read all about the project on our website: https://lnkd.in/dpbbnvs6 When designing solar panel systems for roof or ground installation, calculations are required to accurately size the mounting systems. The existing standards for, for example, wind load calculations can only partially capture the actual wind loads experienced by solar panels. "When we were to explore the best way to size our mounting systems for wind loads, it was crucial to receive assistance from experienced calculation experts. Semcon supports E.ON Sverige for more efficient project operations “This agreement with E.ON Energiinfrastruktur reinforces Semcon’s position as a leading partner in developing successful project organisations. We now look forward to starting this transformation journey with our skilled consultants at Semcon,” says Therése Hallberg, Project Excellence at Semcon. Semcon has signed an agreement with E.ON Energiinfrastruktur to provide support in project governance and the implementation of the XLPM project methodology. The agreement, valid until 31 December 2025, ensures that E.ON Energiinfrastruktur will operate in line with XLPM to further strengthen and streamline their project operations.
