At SEND we're extremely proud of the work we do. Not only because we're passionate about fantastic coffee, but because we're able to help young adults with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities into employment. SEND Coffee
Professional Training and Coaching
Supported internships for those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities in the speciality coffee industry.
About us
A non-profit organisation on a mission to train those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities to become professional baristas in the speciality coffee industry. During internships at our four London coffee shops, our learners are trained on a range of life skills, ancillary skills and, of course, barista skills. When the internship comes to an end, we support our learners in finding paid positions in speciality coffee shops. We also roast and sell our own beans!

Last night, SEND Coffee were very privileged to be invited to the Mayor of London Working for Good Adult Learning Awards. Our humble little organisation won the Employer of the Year award! Sometimes we feel a bit like we’re bad at communicating the work we do, especially this whole social media part, so we feel very grateful to the Mayor of London, the GLA team, and Ascentis for making this happen for us. We were very privileged to be among other award winners, and former Employer of the Year winners Greggs We’ve also made good use of the Mayor of London’s access to free BSL courses, and if anyone wants to support the work we and other like minded organisations are doing, start by learning BSL, available thanks to MayorofLondon ‘s commitment to adult learning.
