Seven Dials Market isn't just the home of brilliant food & drink - it now occasionally dabbles in book clubs too. We put the bookshop at Seven Dials Market to good use this week by launching our first KERB Book Club. And there was no better way to begin than by hosting London’s finest food writer, the brilliant Jimi Famurewa, to talk about his powerful book SETTLERS. Settlers tells untold stories of Britain's Black African communities and their profound impact on food, culture, and identity. Our very own Chevonne Simone Lawrence-Staunton hosted the discussion, which delved into the importance of places like Ridley Road Market, the growing representation of African food at different levels & price points in hospitality, and the barriers to entry that still exist in the industry. Big up to Jimi for giving us his time and bringing this important book into the world. Also, a big thank you to the amazing Priya Narain for organising this great event. Who should we talk to next?

KERB at Seven Dials Market sold 946 Rhubabe cocktails over June made with our Stonewall Pink Rhubarb Gin! They donated £1 for every cocktail sold to Pride in London so £946 raised! 👏 🏳️🌈 Plus we made our own donations to Switchboard - National LGBTQ+ Support Line from stock they purchased from us! Absolutely brilliant stuff 😁💙

Flying the flag loud and proud? 🏳️🌈 Earlier this month, Pride Ally (formerly Cucumber Alley) was launched with a bang, with the brilliant Dee Llewellyn (She/Her) from Pride in London and our Managing Director Andrew Stones, cementing our commitment to creating an inclusive and safe space for the LGBTQ+ community. As London gets ready to burst into a whirlwind of colour this weekend, we've been busy fuelling hungry punters with themed special dishes and cocktails all month long. 🍴The best part? A percentage of revenue from our Pride specials will be donated to Pride in London. Pop by to check them out if you haven't already!🍴 While we're celebrating Pride Month, it's important to remember why it exists and how we at KERB can positively impact and support the local community. Our mission is to become the most impactful hospitality business in the world. We're committed to supporting the LGBTQ+ community all year round through fundraising activities, providing training to our teams, and establishing Seven Dials Market as a safe space for everyone. We'll also be marching for impact this Saturday at London's official Pride Parade to amplify that #weareeverywhere. Will you be joining too? Pop by Seven Dials Market for a well-deserved Rhubabe cocktail (made with Stonewall Spirits). Happy Pride everyone! 🏳️🌈

As we gear up to kick off Pride, this week KERB welcomed Dee Llewellyn (She/Her) from Pride in London. Dee delivered a fantastic training session for our team at Seven Dials Market, helping us to identify unconscious biases and implement strategies to mitigate them. We were also taught about the LGBTQ+ umbrella, terminology, and how to create a safe space for the LGBTQ+ community. This was an incredibly engaging session for the team, and we're excited to continue fostering an inclusive environment for everyone at Seven Dials Market. Thank you Dee Llewellyn (She/Her)!

KERB are thrilled to announce that Seven Dials Market is proudly partnering with champions of LGBTQ+ pride and diversity, and organisers of the city’s flagship parade, Pride in London 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ Seven Dials Market, is committed to fostering allyship and ensuring its space is welcoming, inclusive and safe for all London’s LGBTQ+ community. As a symbol of this commitment, on Friday 31st May, we’ll be cutting the ribbon on PRIDE ALLY (formerly known as Cucumber Alley) to mark the start of a celebration, full of inclusivity, joy, street eats, sips, beats and pride. Throughout Pride month, Seven Dials Market traders will serve up one-off specials to raise money and support the work of Pride in London, and at the bar, you can sip on a Pride Month cocktail, made with Stonewall Spirits - raise your glasses, cause with every one purchased £1 will be donated to Pride in London. We've got some iconic people in our ranks, who inspire us every single day🚀 Today, we shine a spotlight on two visionary women within our community. Meet Mouna, the founder of Arnabeet, and Hind, the founder of Utopia. Their journey is a tale of flavour and resilience from the KERB up. Mouna embarked on her journey with us through the KERB Food's inkERBator programme in 2020. Fast forward three years later and much hard graft, she joined us at Seven Dials Market to feed you all her fresh, vibrant Syrian dishes. Whilst also coaching refugee entrepreneurs alongside our KERB+ Impact Partner TERN - The Entrepreneurial Refugee Network. Read more about her story here: https://rb.gy/90pnvt Hind, another graduate of the inKERBator programme, first completed our KERB+ Coaching for Business programme and Streets Ahead. Now, she brings the rich flavours of Syrian cuisine to KERB markets and KERB events. Serving as role models to each other (and to us) we feel very proud for them to be part of our KERB family. You’re truly iconic 💜
